  • Wow, is all I can say.Liked them then , still do now when we all are grey and much older. How long is it. 30 years plus.

  • 1:27 - 2:00 beautiful voice... =)

    well everything!

  • You think this would have been better without Ry Cooder on the Weisenborn ... ?

  • How many bleedin' guitars do these country bands actually need?!?

  • The Trio would have been better without Dolly Parton.

  • @infinera06 Wouldn't be a trio then, punk!

  • @infinera06 Without Dolly, it isn't a trio... :P

  • @32laura So what if it is not a trio? It would sound better without Dolly, who's voice is like a cartoon character.

  • @infinera06 I'm just kidding, because I really like Dolly.

  • Love it !!!!

  • Needed a dose of "sweet and wonderful" today. This was it. :-)

  • What kind of guitar was that David Lindley had there? An Eastwood Airline?

  • I just cant say I enjoy this although I do know the song.

  • To know these Ladies is to love them......

  • The voice of three people was good and listened to this record when I slept in those days.

Good relation came to see a picture and was good music.

  • i love this song:)

  • Three great girls

  • They are amazing!! I didn't realize that David Lindley played with them as well. What a nice addition.

  • Very nice, but I wish Dolly could resist embroidering the tune with her accidentals.

  • Beautiful Weissenborn with Steve

  • Do you think this song talking about Jesus/God or a man? Can you imagine these 3 on tour together? I'll buy tickets. -th

  • Do you think this song talking about Jesus/God or a man?

  • @dedacon500 it was originally a spiritual song. But it was converted to a love song.

  • @dedacon500 it was originally a spiritual song. But it was converted to a love song.

  • Awsom as usual.........Great

  • when i was a little child my mom would sing these songs too me. i love tht so much. this kind of music is what i grew up listening to even though i'm 15 these songs have a great impact on my life.

  • Linda really slimmed down for this tour. She looks more like the tiny girls with the big voice than she has for years!

  • FANTASTIC harmonies!!

  • the song was named for Phil Spector's father's tombstone which read TO KNOW HIM IS TO LOVE HIM

  • Three legends making beautiful harmonies!

  • This is a true masterpiece........

  • I am 30 years old and have been singing this song since I was 15. I never knew this version, just the Teddybears. what a find.

  • Love to see Emmy Lou start dancing at 3:05 when Superstar Lindley breaks into the outro... Once upon a time, the great Lindley signed and played the Might ROOtar after his Milwaukee concert. The autograph wore off with age, but his magic never will.

  • Cool to see David Lindley in the background.

  • @ParadisePyro

David Lindley, Mark O'Connor on mandolin, Leland Sklar on bass, and I believe Ry Cooder on slide -- this is a serious lineup

  • @irishmando1 Ry on slide was a good guess as he played on the album version. However it is Steve Fishell, long time member of Emmylou's Hot Band, playing slide on this clip.

    Laurie

  • one of the greatest albums ever recorded by three of the greatest artists ever!!!!

  • 1 Person needs to be kicked in the MEOW!!!!

  • Just beautiful music.............

  • Linda is the best singer that has ever lived....emmy is an awesome singer who finds great songs and sings the hell out of them...dolly has a pretty voice and big boobs and sounds like a warbled old grandma but put her with Linda and Emmy...pure magic...hell Linda makes everybody sound good.

  • i admire the humble way they stand there while they are good for millions of records sold! and that guitar part is just awesome! but i wanted to say my respect to the ukelele player who with such a small instrument can make such an impact on the song. In short even if country isnt ur thing its a masterpiece by 3 superstars

  • zZz...

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A very wonderful rendition of this old favorite...Linda, Dolly & Emmylou are amazing...

This is more than 5 stars***********************

  • I love these girls...and Emmylou is soooooooooooooooo beautiful...

  • You just can't get better than this.

  • 3 living legends.

  • Love this song! :)

It sounds like either a love song, or a very sad song :(

  • This trio do a beautiful job on this old tune...Linda, Dolly and Emmylou sound great together as the angelic harmonies on this albun show. Taking a look in the background...I notice David Lindley playing in the background...just behind Dolly. He's one pretty awesome musician to have behind you. Great song...great album.

  • Nancy loves this......

  • beautiful xxx

  • Delightful harmonies by these three ladies!

  • Terrific trio! Three songbirds. I 'love' <3 Emmylou Harris!!!

  • That's David Lindley playing the guitar solo. He plays a lot with Jackson Browne.

  • a great video

  • Is this a song written by Dolly?

Howevere be, is a wonderful song and this trio sings with heart over the music (it too wonderful).

  • It was actually written by Phil Spector and was a huge hit in 1958 for his trio The Teddy Bears ; one of my all time favourite 'pop' records

    Laurie

  • @1000Magicians I know this is an old post... but this (To Know Him is to Love Him) is also one of my all time fave melodies. Loved The Teddy Bears version... but this is killer too!! Cheers! ~Kennedi KIng
