I installed OS6 on my 9300 a few months back, but 3 weeks ago I sent my device to Blackberry because the track pad was not working properly, and I got it back today completely blank, with OS 5, I tried to install OS6 like I did last time and it was impossible, it just cant be installed as I did before... I used BBSAK to wipe the device first, and then I could get it to install OS6. After that I just load my last backup with Desktop Manager and my App backup with BBSAK

I experienced the same problem, but found a solution. First of all, I hit the 'Wipe Device' button in BBSAK. After doing so, I was able to install OS 6 and many other applications in BBSAK, following the 'Load OS' procedure. Good luck!

After the install do the steps below (NOTE: only applies to Tmobile branded phones)

C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research in Motion/Shared/Loader Files/9700M_OS6/Java then locate and delete;

1.net_rim_theme_tmobile_BlackB­erry6_480x360_b.cod &

2.net_rim_theme_tmobileeu_Blac­kBerry6_480x360_b.cod

then run loader.exe and update the phone by unchecking any one application you dont need (just so the phone can update and restartYou phone should update

updated my 9700, but nothing is right, im getting a white backround and wierd icons. something definitly went wrong, what do i do to reinstall/fix my phone to the normal os 6. I used DM initially to update my os to os 6. ive read to wipe out my phone, then update it using BBSAK.. any suggestions???

@youfiss hey the same thing happened to me so i just downgraded back to os 5 and everytime i tried to upgrade to os 6 again, the same strange interface kept coming up. How did you manage to fix that?

@israelisaclown Before you update to os 6 follow the steps I've written, then update the software. You must delete the files I mentioned, and then update your phone so you can have a normal interface.

tip: if it doesnt work the first time "wipe your device" with bbsak, then once its in a messed up mode, do the update. it should work THANKS YOU SO MUCH SLAMANC!

Guys! go to Crackberry dotcom and scroll about half way trough and there is a leak of the OS 6.0. Download it and install it on your computer after, on the bottom right of your computer click the arrow where all the programs are that's running in the background, you'll see the blackberry logo, right click and it would prompt you to download 6.0 and follow the instructions. @heavyweightcf HeavyweightCF you woke me up! Cheers man! Don't worry BBSAK will take care of your issues. Restart computer, try the update through BBSAK again. If no go, then could be your phone had too many incompatible third party apps. Delete those before trying update. Finally, kill all DM processes and just connect to BBSAK and do factory reset in there

@salmanc1 after i install the os it automatically restore by backup files and it says completed 15/16 files. "Option" did not install

Then I tried again in DM and it says the same thing :(

@klieomanat In DM you can do selective restore (choose the things you want to restore to phone). Just untick the "Option" in the list and it should be fine. Its most likely an application you installed which is not compatible with the phone. Delete all useless applications. If you are still stuck you can just do a factory reset in BBSAK. Open BBSAK,, reconnect device (close DM), and click factory reset button. This will reset your OS (remove apps & settings). Then follow instructions again!

@klieomanat If it is something else then its a problem that already existed on your blackberry. Im assuming you are ARE doing the bold. If you have done a backup on DM you should have no worries! If your blackberry was messed up to begin with, backup your stuff (all files) on DM, and you can do a factory reset on your bb through BBSAK (theres a button there) which restores the blackberry to its original state. Then you can follow instructions as above.
