We used to sing this when I wa in the Gospel Choir in the late seventies at my church. It feels good to go back and be able to listen to these old gospels. I know what my Greal Auntie was talking about now. I an almost 50 yrs old now myself. God has bought me a mighty, mighty, long way, and yes I am very greatful

I love this song. It's beautiful and powerful. The words are very true and make you think about your situation. Makes you reflect that you should always praise God when things are going good and bad. To be honest I haven't heard any other version that's better this good Old School version.

@Blulee1 Can you believe when you get to heaven there are going to me no NEW or REMIXES to holy holy holy...God doesnt change he stays the same, therefore his praises should be the same as well. When you deviate from the original you allow the devil opportunity to come in and deviate the truth. Lets not seperate praise in an old school new school fashion, there is no such thing. A little rain mixed with sunshine and a little pain makes me appreciate the good times. God is so good, so good. Been through some things recently, but I remained obedient,faithful and had a ear for God. Now things between us are so much closer. I guess God really wants to know how faithful you are, the reward is so great. Praise God...

IMO... Gospel enthusiast here and I still have this song ranked #2 on my list of all-time favorites. This message can still be very useful to parents in teaching values to their children: we need the bad times in order to appreciate the good times.
