I was hoping for more when I heard that I Ran by The Flock of Seagulls was used as an inspiration for a rap/hip-hop style song. If you are going to use something from an old, very popular and excellent song at least understand the soul of the song. The original song is not about the writer and how cool and awesome they are but about how love is fleeting and should be valued above all else. Using the song in this manner is an offense to real songwriters across the globe.
