  • "crysis physics destruction break jungle shoot kill explosion blow up blood killing fun cool graphics cg hd high definition helicopter chopper branches trees breaking fire burn PC video game gameplay art"???

    WTF!??!?!??

  • thanks turkey for this game

  • @4232267 Yeah it should. I recorded this on an old 8800GT (but not at a huge resolution) so you should have no problem running it.

  • I run with motion blur off, mostly because it hurts performance but also cause I don't like the way it looks!

  • show when you shot a fat tree of with the ak 47

  • it would be awesome if the minds behind destruction and physics behind red faction made a dbz game like the tenkaichi one....

    it would be fucking awesome!!!

  • how come when i played this nothing was destructible

  • You may have had physics disabled from the settings.

  • @iSOBigD were can i acces the settings?

  • @Deathbringer3557 In the options menu...

  • u gotta turn on hugher graphic

  • put physiscs on low put it on mid

  • as Agentmass says RFG does have more realistic physics when it comes to building destruction. The devs hired actual building designers to help them make buildings with proper support amongst other stuff. If you've actually played it and have messed up a building you can stand near it and hear creaks and groans from the stressed structural support, sometimes a little dust may fall from where it's failing, and sometimes they spontaneously collapse. The devs have funny stories about makin it

  • i know. if they put the gomod engine in with this game it would pwn

  • lol once i was taking cover inside this house, the enemy threw a grenade in there and the whole house shattered on top of me.

  • That happens to me alot ;)

  • your saying this isnt like lego?

  • if they added eviroments like this to gta i'd like be in heaven

  • Imagine : Red Faction Guerilla + Grand Theft Auto IV . There are no words to describe the awesomeness!

  • Oh yeah!

  • Imagine, there will also be no words for the lag... but it would be super awesome!!

  • fuck that awsomeness? more like epicness

  • Taking down sky scrapers would be awesome..

I am guessing we are not far away from such games.

  • @RandomDirectors Crysis 2 will feature this?

  • @paulnils Not from what I've seen. I've only seen destruction on par with Crysis 1 and Bad Company 2 really.

  • Red Faction's destruction with crysis graphics would require a monster of a pc but it would be extremely lovely even to watch

  • @iSOBigD Have you ever played Red Faction Guerilla? Cuz I would say that kicks the crap out of Crysis physics (as long as graphics don't count as physics, cuz we know who wins there).

  • @iSOBigD If Crytek, and Geo-Mod 2.0 (for destruction) was combined, it would have the best destruction ever. Maybe, just maybe... Euphoria (GTA 4, RDR, Star Wars), Crytek, and Geo-mod 2.0 combined, making the best physics engine ever made.

  • @cromwellsimon Yeah I'd love to see that.

  • @cromwellsimon what about nvidia

  • awesome

  • thats nothing compared to the red factions gurila game physics it uses stress to simulate destruction

  • u must be fucking sick if u think that RFG have better physics than crysis lol...

Red Faction guerilla looks like lego and there is nothing realistic - buildings are falling like lego constructor, graphics is shit, i guess gameplay also is shit(from gameplay vidoes it looks like it's shit)

  • red faction uses stress not just random destruction so befor you talk trash go and actualy find out what your talking about

  • Red Faction 3's physics do seem nice, but keep in mind it's coming out many years after Crysis. Also, it's coming out on consoles first so graphically it won't even be close to Crysis, which came out in 2007.

Graphically, I expect it to be a few years behind Crysis and more on par with that other game where you can dig tunnels and deform the ground with grenades. (Something Magic Carpet did back in 1994!)

  • well you cant deform the landscape but in red faction 3 you can take a truck run off of a bridge and crash into a building and youl be inside the building puoduh dont you think thats cool?

  • Can't wait for the release!!! Tommorow!!! =D or Friday maby... hmm

  • havok

  • you know that shack you blew up @ 0:31 try this some time there are claymore mines mounted on that little mound right across from that shack one of those mines if you shoot it will completey destroy everything around it way outside of the normal radius i think its a bug but its funny it will make your pc lag like hell though

  • this is real time?

  • oh, alright, thanks.

  • how do you get crysis physics do you have to buy it or does it come with the game?

  • Crysis has physics as seen in this video by default. You get the game, play it or use the editor and just about everything has physics.

  • ok, i got a question, I have win xp, a 8800GTX, and a quad core 2.4GHz intel (I know, intel sux, cant be helped). I ran crysis at maxed settings (High, since its XP) and when you shoot the trees they only break into chunks about a foot long, but my friend said he could shoot them into tiny bits with his vista/DX10 rig, and even after getting the dx10 .dlls and doing the very high hack thing i cant get his performance. Any help?

  • how do you enable physics in crysis?

  • Physics are always enabled. From the options menu, you can set them to high or whatever, based on how fast your system is, but the game always has physics.

  • does ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphic card support this game?

  • Yes, but it'll run it very badly, possibly on low settings only.

  • getting a 9600 gt 512mb gddr3(with 4 gbs and a 2.60Ghz AMD athlon dual core) what it could do. Most on high????

  • Medium at best. That video card is not very fast at all. Just get a cheap 8800GT if you're on a tight budget (it's about $130), or a $200 HD3750.

  • omg that sucks. Thats ok tho. But hey can I do SLI on one monitor so its like double graphics on one monitor????

  • Yup, that's how SLI works. You need two of the same NVIDIA cards for that. Although you're better off buying one newer card than two 9600GT cards. Cards that cost double as probably more than twice as fast.

  • so your saying 9600 GT and later on SLI with 9900 gt???

  • No, for SLI you'd need two of the same card. That means two 9600GT cards, or two 8800GT, two 9800GT, etc.

  • r u telling me that 8800 is better than a 9600??? omg now im just confused I thought the series measured like volume the higher the better

  • Cards with "600" at the end are mid-range. Cards with "200" or "400" are low end and cards with "800" are high end. The 9600GT is newer than the 8800GT but is also slower.

    It goes: 9600GT < 8800GT < 8800 GTX < 8800 Ultra < 9800GT < 9800GTX+ < GTX260 < 9800GX2 < GTX280. Hope that helps. :)

  • that help a lot actually thanks a lot.

  • Well you have a 8800 tell me. How long does the card last until it overheats and shuts down your PC. I have heard a lot about these overheating problems

  • That's never happened to me, and I have the original model with the small fan. The temperature does get pretty high, to over 80 degrees, but for others it goes over 90. I have two huge case fans (36cm and 25cm) and a decent CPU fan that blows air out the back of the case (Zalman 9500). If you don't have good cooling, yours might overheat.

BUT, all newer 8800GT cards have bigger, quieter fans so overheating is not a problem for any newer versions. Look at pics before buying the card to check.

  • so your recommending an 8800GT for somebody that has a fan on their PSU, CPU a 120mm and 80mm fan on the case, or is that fit for a 9800????

  • If I had to pick between the 8800GT or 9800GT, I'd go with the 8800GT cause it costs a lot less and it's only a tiny bit slower. If you have about $200 to spend though, get the Radeon HD4750. It's the best card for the money right now.

  • radeon???.. meh Im not gona trust an ATI probably never its hard enough understanding geforce graphics cards also guy look at this watch?v=C3yNfTIQa0o I think im fine. but thanks anyways

  • Well, you're making a bad choice then. I'm recommending what's best right now for the money. The best fast cards for the money today are the AMD HD3750 ($200) and 3780 ($300). The 3870X2 is the fastest card currently out although it costs more, of course. Getting anything from NVIDIA for over $200 would be a bad choice.

Also, the 9600GT does NOT run Crysis on high well, let alone very high. Trust video card reviews, not 320x240 Youtube videos. Read some 9600GT reviews before buying it.

  • Thank you so much I have been searching on forums to find a card comparison.

Oh and will Crysis run on my specs

    Graphics Card: Nvidia 9800m GTX

Processor: Intel 2.8 Ghz Core 2 Duo

    4 gigs of ram

  • Yup.

  • Cool vid ;)

  • The enviorment is cool but its hard to shooot with it falling. By the way love the video

  • Can you play this with a macbook pro?

  • I don't think you can really play any games with a Maxbook Pro...World of Warcraft and some Mac ports might run, but other than that, the Macs are crap for games, even the really expensive ones.

  • HL2 and CRYSIS are both very enjoyable.

the movie parts on crysis were awesome.

  • sorta reminds me of half-life 2 lol

  • Yeah, except much better looking and with cooler weapons and enemies. :)

  • I beg to differ. Half-Life 2 has more interesting enemies (and the coolest weapon in the world: the Gravity Gun).

  • The gravity gun was in other games and mods before HL2 came out. Also, what other cool guns does it have? Can you modify any of its weapons to fit your playing style? I love HL and HL2, but they're completely linear games where as Crysis isn't. Now I like the striders and those little striders, but the human (Combine) clone enemies are nowhere near as nice as the much smarter Crysis human enemies. They're much more fun to play against in Crysis.

  • Well, I guess it boils down to the matter of preference. I played through both games (game series in case of HL), and I just happen to like HL more. Also, there is a certain degree of linearity in Crysis. You can't go back (especially in later parts of the game), and the side-to-side freedom of movement is present, but not well enough to call the game non-linear. Now, if we were talking STALKER... That's an example of non-linearity.

BTW, Combine humans in HL2 are not cloned, they are converted.

  • What I meant is they're exactly the same character model. They pulled the ol' "they have helmets on but really they're all different" trick...but there's very little variation in the human combine units. In Crysis at least they have different heads and lots more body variation too. Plus, they look insanely good, even up close.

  • Yes, yes, you're right. But don't forget that HL2 is 3 years older than Crysis, which is a lot. Also, take a look at HL2:Ep2 characters - don't they look nice? Oh, and BTW, Crytek can't beat Valve at facial animation, which is kinda sad.

  • Well, Valve does have some good animators (I especially enjoy the TF2 animations). Crysis faces look much more realistic though thanks to much better modeling, texturing and the use of sub-surface scattering. And also, Valve tends to focus a lot on faces and completely neglect character bodies so they look pretty terrible in all HL2 episodes. In Crysis, everything from the smallest rock to the biggest enemy looks great. HL2 has mostly nice character faces and everything else is flat and blurry.

  • I have the same specs are you dude and I get around the same results running Crysis, nice video.

  • nice video man

great that you can play the game with an impresive image queality with only a 8800GT :)

  • love the vid, game looks awesome. I thought all the talk of crysis was all hype... till now, have got the same video card, am waiting for the q9450 to come out... if i can wait, when i saw your F.A vid of the megalith a while back it sold me on the q6600, never know, looks real slick in this.

  • Oh man that game looks sooooo badass.

  • Awesome. I'm getting a similar rig setup. Same processor and vid card but just 2gb of DDR2 RAM @ 800.

  • That'll be great for any game. I bought 4GB just because I do 3D stuff too but even the best games barely use over 1GB of RAM.

  • ??

wtf are you talking about ,man

one of my 1gb ram is broken and now use 1gb amd all games are laging like i have a bad gpu pnly becouse og 1gb ram

    1gb ram is oldtimes

  • One reply would have been enough. :) Most games that need more than 1GB actually use about 1.1GB, including Crysis. It rarely goes near 2GB, let alone 4. Also, Vista uses a lot more memory by default compared to XP, so just because Vista easts half your memory doesn't mean the game uses it. Anyway, the more the better, but 4GB or more is useless for games today.

  • what do you mean 4 GB or more is useless for games today id think that if you had 4 gigs of RAM the game would run so smoothly and you could watch 3,000 barrels explosion like seen in another vid on here, just asking.

  • No, the barrel explosions have nothing to do with having 4GB of RAM. Your video card and CPU do all the processing work for that...that's what makes it so slow.

  • but wouldnt more memory make it run faster

  • but wouldnt more memory make it run faster

  • no, he already has 3gb

  • oh, and sorry for the double post, my shitty aol browser was being stupid lol

  • The processors (cpu, video card, etc.) make things run faster mainly, but lack of memory slows things down a lot...so if you run out of memory and the game starts using your hard drive, then you'll see Huge slow-downs. As long as you're not running out of memory though, having 200GB extra won't make a difference if the game doesn't need it.

  • I know sorry about that double post blame my gay ass aol browser, and no i cant get the links to the videos i cant copy link b/c of gayOL

  • this game is fucking awsome

  • thanx im ordering my rig tomorrow with a q6000

it looks like theres no need for oc yet

  • is you quad overclocked?

  • No, I didn't see the need yet so it's at 2.4ghz still. I have a decent Zalman cooler on it though so I'll oc it someday just for fun.
