I feel bad for her. That would be awful forgetting the national anthem. My theory is she probably new it while practicing but when she got out there and it hit her that she was singing the best and hardest song to sing in our country in front of all those people, she probably froze up. @horsesrocksful Lauren has an extremely talented voice. I just thought she underachieved and didn't push herself enough. On Idol she let her fear get the best of her not because she forgot lyrics but when she passed on singing a high note which was part of the original melody, but instead sang a lower harmony note. Simon and everyone pointed that out.

On Idol she let her fear get the best of her not because she forgot lyrics but when she passed on singing a high note which was part of the original melody, but instead sang a lower harmony note. Simon and everyone pointed that out.
