@dwkeiko well i was doing my reasearch on vocaloid as i go every day and i read gumi was one of three robotic looking vocaloids and i knew miki was one of them (third i need to find) but i realized something funny moth miki and gumi have some of the most realistic voices of all vocaloid and there considerd 'robotic' !! haha funni funni!! just thought i wud tell u since i saw this comment .3.

@LoveStar556 No, you probably misread the information. Gumi is one of the 3 Vocaloids that they used on the real-life robot HRP-4C so that it can speak. The other two were Miku and Crypton's non-commercial Vocaloid CV-4Cβ.

@pitaten8838 Gumi and Miku sound nothing alike. Gumi is the most 'human' sounding vocaloid. Miku with her appends is better but still sounds electronic for the most part. It also depends on who is working with them.

@nejirox51693 Oh! Well....... in the pic, the silhouette of bird has been replaced by a paper airplane. Alto( character from Macross Frontier ) always makes paper airplanes. The voice of one the characters ( Ranka Lee ) is the same seiyuu  for Megpoid Gumi. It's very confusing XD

I personally like the luka version better. Her voice has more of a gentle sweetness to it. Gumi's voice sounds more realistic, but her voice has a different kind of girlish pitch that only Gumi fans could love, still a good song though.

I like both Luka's version and Gumi's, but for different reasons. Luka will continue to be my favorite Vocaloid due to her deeper voice compared to the other females (and she teaches them how to say road roller!), but Gumi has an amazingly realistic and soothing voice (though Bad Apple sounds more realistic than this one). Makes me wonder if she would be more popular if Crypton made her.
