Think about this, he is traveling at 87 mph and flew 70 meters in air before crashing.

this sport is meaningless in many places, such as america and canada, we care about hockey, baseball, basketball, football and soccer, who gets up early in the morning to watch skiiing, more people watch GOLFING.
skiing is bunch of individual athelete sports.
not TEAM SPORTS. SELFISH IDIVIDUALS

people don't really care about skiing, football, soccer, hockey, baseball, basketball, are the sports people are interested in.
in the news, they just touch on him once or twice, and done. maybe in swiss they talk about him more. No body in the streets of canada or america, if u ask who is daniel albrecht is, will kno him. WHOS DANNY BOY?

Yes, other skiers did make it but, they were not traveling at the same speed as Albrecht and that is a fact. Last year, Scott McCartney crashed at this exact same spot and he also was traveling at more than 80 mph. After Albrecht had his accident, the rest of the skiers did not attempt that part of the course during the training run, at the speed he was traveling. Now, let's get to the real truth. Have you ever skied a 2 mile downhill at speeds reaching 60-70 mph? No? I bet U can't ski at all

i didn't mean to be mean in any comments but from my first comment i just stated he fell and didn't finished but then i also said he loss so yah but i guess it training so , he still failed, if u interview him he probably say its an accident but he also said he failed, and try to get better,

Where do you get that, because he only came out of his coma today enough to answer yea and no to questions but gave no interviews so implying that he did makes you a lier. When most skiers come over a hill and get airborne and start to lose their balance they will usually rotate their arms in a circular motion called, "rolling down the windows." They don't flap their arms because the human body is not meant to fly, Man, you seem to be one of the most ignorant people I have met regarding skiing.

Where in the hell did you get those comments? Because you are lying. Albrecht just began talking yesterday and all he has said up to his point is yes and no to various questions. He was awakened from his drug induced coma starting on Wed and will not be fully awake until Sunday. To date he has give no interviews and has not answered any questions except to respond to Doctors with yes and no answers. Do you just sit around and make this shit up? That's what a moron would do!!!

and also, of course everyone crashed sometimes but it doesn't mean he's a hero. Its too bad that he crashed and he got into a coma and probably wont be able to ski the rest of the year. Thats not being a hero, thats disappointment and I feel for him because almost all ski racers been there in times llike that.
And nobody cares about skiing injuries unless your a sick retarded bastard who wants to see a guy get hurt. Its spectacular of what he went through, but nobody cares about you tonylui28

What if tonylui28 YOU got a BIG hit in HOCKEY that was so hard you were knocked out and put into a coma? Many people as in family and friends would care about you and even the away people who were there to see the away team play who dont even know you. They would be concerned and hope for the best, but nobody would be a fucktard enought to say "that hockey guy FAILS" and obviously you wouldn't like that. So think of other people for a change instead of yourself saying the guy sucks for failing

tonytui, your problem is you have no concept of skiing the Downhill and how demanding it actually is. My guess is you probably couldn't even make it down the bunny slopes at most ski areas. No one said Albrecht was a hero. He is the current reigning World Champion in the Super Combined so naturally a lot of people within the skiing community are concerned about his health especially after a crash like this. Think about this, he is traveling at 87 mph and flew 70 meters in air before crashing.

In answer to your question, do people really care? By all means yes, lots of people who know him do care. You don't care because you are a moron with no concept of skiing. So, in reality you should just shut your mouth and go back to playing with your GI Joes. Lord knows you don't have the courage, skills, or balls to get on a 2 mile Downhill course and travel upwards of 65-80 mph and complete the run. You would do good just to make it off the lift without falling down!!!!

In addition regarding your comment, "he had it coming." What a totally moron thing to say. No one has it coming. In case you didn't know, the goal of any race is to be the fastest down the course. The goal of the training run is to get a feel for the course and how well you will be able to ski it. But then, you have your head so far up your ass, that light you see is the sun shinning through the end of your pe..., well you know what I mean.

As for losing the race, he didn't compete in the race. How many times do I have to tell you before you will get it. This fall occurred during a training run. In a training run there are no winners and no losers. When will you begin to understand the difference between a training run and the actual event where you actually have a winner?

Wrong, you do not have to complete the training run in order to compete. Let's say he completed the training run and crashed but not as severe as he did. He still could have competed in the actual event the next day. From the questions and statements you keep making, I can tell you know absolutely nothing about the World Cup Circuit and skiing. Therefore, all of the comments you keep making are meaningless because you have no idea what you are talking about.
