I am 34 years of age and im a social worker since i was 22. There are many people who do what i do. We do what we can to bring some light out there.

If u would have an ounce of life xperience and know a wee bit bout human history then you know idealists get killed which changes nothing. look at how we progressed till 2010...NOT.

In my opinion these so called `real life heroes` are comic book crazy and are going to far in theyre head with this. They dont think of theyre responsibility as humans to little children who are trying to copycat this and getting killed in the process, which has happened sadly.

If you're really serious about learning self defense/hand-to-hand combat (and it sounds like you are), try learning things like judo, muy thai, and krav maga. I know a guy who participates in official fighting tournaments, and he's been training in all of these for years (it's pretty serious stuff, you've got to keep it up daily). He can mop the floor with anyone who's inexperienced at fighting, which is probably most people.

i know exactly how u feel, i also came from a farming backround, and i know street style martial arts, for example, jeet kune do(trappin hands) mixture between boxing and kicking, a lil bit of tae kwon do, and some boxing, we can help train each other, i feel teh same way u do man, there is a few of us out there, we need to get together and train ourselfs and awaken the other 90% dormant brain so we can help the ppl in this world that need saving, wat do u think?

lol it would be awesome to be a superhero. i wish i could be one. but of course you would have to know martial arts, gymnastics, etc. i wouldnt reccomend running around in a themed disguize, just maybe the fighting necessities, army boots, fighting gloves, BULLET PROOF VEST (hint hint) and stuff. i wish you luck. i always dreamed of being a hero when i was a kid, but i never had the guts to try to become one. it takes balls to be a hero. good luck man!

The physical is only a fraction of what you'll need in real life. Study police and military tactics. a lot of RLSH guys have a loose grip on the social aspect. No matter how fit or strong you are, it only takes one lucky shot to put you out of your misery. So, train yourself in having a game plan. Hang out with different people to know who would react to what in different situations. Assuming ofcourse this isn't tongue in cheek humor.
