i bought some balut at a vietnamese grocery and ate like 10 today. My first time eating it. It was pretty damn good. Just don't pay attention to the visuals just enjoy the taste :D

Heres a tip to foreiners eating a balut for the first time. After you suck out the juice break the shell to until midway then, do not try to dissect and look at the whole ensamble or take a bite partially, put the whole thing in your mouth then start chewing. Balut is good but for someone eating it for the first time the sight of the duck most times turns ones appetite off.
