@ italreborn I totally agree with you, I also liked the details they used in part 1 for buildings etc.

I like the style of gears 3 but im not sure if i like it as much as 1....1 just seemed darker and the art style seemed more realistic. 3 is much more cartoony and all the maps look like they came out of uncharted lol, too much light and pretty colours. I hope there are some darker maps in gears 3.

I'll never forget the first time I played this game. First time I realized what the next gen was all about. This was also the fist game I played with an xbox live membership.  Had some of the best days of my life playing this game online and offline with my buddy Matt. Gives me that warm feeling just thinking about it.

Exactly how is that? I'm not defending Gears 2 here, I just think the notion that you have to have more skill to play 1 is ridiculous. So rushing with the shotty is somehow skillful? All you have to do to be good at gears is be able to work the gnasher. That's it. I play both games the same way and have success at both, that's why I think the whole 'this one takes more skill' argument is crap. Once you learn to wallbounce and use your shotty then you can own at both games.
