Kuranda Skyrail and Scenic Railway

I am leaving Salt Lake City, Utah (USA) on Saturday to Cairns. I'll be doing this on 03 August. Interesting.

I went to Cairns in 1994, stayed over at the Kuranda Rainforest Resort for a few nights. Was good. Will take my kid there one day. Didn't do the train or Skyrail unfortunately.

I'm from the US...I rode the Skyrail last year...it was so pretty, I wish I could do it again!

i wish i had of videoed it now but i was scared shitless hahah...was a beautiful view(when i did look) i held on to my partners singlet the whole way hahah i heard every little noise made.......its amust do trip for sure

Thanks for the vid, Chookie. If you reckon Barron falls were dry when you were there, you should have seen them earlier this week when I was there. I posted a vid of it, but it was done on my mobile phone, so not as clear as yours.

I still think it was well worth the trip, and would recommend it to anyone visiting Cairns. Good value for money.

You missed kuranda out...anything worh seeing...and the train station was told interesting

Kuranda is just full of tacky souvenir shops. I didn't like it much but it's probably OK for couples.

That's a pity. I'll try and make my movies less realistic.  I might be hurting the tourism industry here in Cairns.

I think the trip up and back was only about $80 not $1,000. There's more to see around here.
