To me, Daniel Craig brought back the essence of James Bond that was lost after Sean Connery left that position. He's an assassin, not freakin' Inspector Gadget... Craig brought back the darkness, hit-man style that Bond truly is - in the novels and the original Connery films.
I actually don't mind the idea of Craig being Cap. I can see that working.
I don't know. He had the general look and the swagger of Bond, but he played him too hammy and not nearly manly enough. I like that Craig brought a real physical presence back to Bond, like he's a guy you don't want to run into, even if he is blonde. That's the same reason I prefer Connery over Roger Moore - Connery was much more intimidating.

I just heard from a friend "in the biz" that so far they are still planning on having the Captain America movie take place almost entirely in WWII and stick to his comic book origins, which makes me very, very happy. I was worried they'd try to "modernize" his story into something stupid (there were rumors he would be an Iraq vet, that the super soldier serum would be replaced with genetic engineering ala Spiderman, etc).
I'd love to see Aaron Eckhart play Cap, but since he's already Harvey Dent/Two-Face (DC Comics) I don't think Marvel would cast him in one of their films. Those two companies still have quite the feisty competition going.

Cap fought extensively in WWII, and I could definitely see him saving an entire village in Poland from the Nazis. I would have liked some footage of the costume or shield in there, but I couldn't find any that wasn't cheesy or wouldn't look out of place.

Well I would say this is pretty accurate to the original captain america movie released in like the 60s or 70s. I saw it when I was a little kid. Captain America was a holocaust survivor as a young child, makes it to America and goes back to hunt the skull head nazi dude when he gets older.

Actually, the pacing is different, I faked the extra titles, recut a few scenes to get rid of Craig's Polish accent (he's Polish in Defiance), and added different music at the beginning.

Well I would say this is pretty accurate to the original captain america movie released in like the 60s or 70s. I saw it when I was a little kid. Captain America was a holocaust survivor as a young child, makes it to America and goes back to hunt the skull head nazi dude when he gets older.

no A-list actor, the best thing to do is to get some random guy or a newcomer to be cap so that the next time you see him in a another movie youll only see him as cap

Nah.. He doesn't fit the part, but let everyone else vote on it. In my honest opinion I think Neal McDonough should get it. Eckart is ugly and too old.

Actually, the pacing is different, I faked the extra titles, recut a few scenes to get rid of Craig's Polish accent (he's Polish in Defiance), and added different music at the beginning.
