Sorry just getting around to using this account again. Thanks Martin, I know you and I both understand the frustrating nature of ITKF Kumite. The gyaku was powerful but it was buried in my armpit..I really didn't think it was a target. But since I was off balance they upgraded it. Cocopelli the ITKF philosophy is to have dojo quality technique only during kumite. Which means timing, stance, distance, everything has to be perfect. You will notice a big difference than other styles of kumite.

Hi Wenner, yeah I agree that looks that Ben acused the uraken-uchi at face, but...you know judges...:(...not always gives the points.
On the other hand the gyakozuki that Ben throw looks pretty powerful when you fell although you were in one leg.
If you have more videos...please post them so we all can learn more about karate.
I think is not that important to win or to loose, but what we can discover about ourselves in every fight or kata performance.
