This is cotton spot cord, about 13'9" finished after the honda and tail knot are done. The burner is 1 3/8" x 2 5/8" trimmed to a slight hourglass shape and tied on the ends but not the middle. They wear out. I like a slightly spongy, flexible, rough piece of leather about 1/16" thick.
I use King's treated trick rope for the Texas Skip and ocean waves.
That's definitely the Doug Smith I know. Beautiful rollovers and not a single miss in the whole video. Congrats Doug! Good job. Why don't you take over my act when I'm done? 'o)
Doug, What is the diam of the spot cord you use. Thanks.

Doug, Where do you get "Kings Treated Trick Rope?" Also, are you the same Doug Smith "CowBoy Dressed" I see on other videos?
John Hoepfner
PS What do you means by "Finished" in the above statement RE: Cotton Spot Cord after the Honda and tail knot are done?

King's Saddlery in Sheridan, Wyoming 1-800- 443-8919
I am not the "cowboy dressed" Doug Smith.
Finished means measured after the honda and tail knot are made. Depending on the knots used you might need 2 feet more to start with. I sell ropes.
