officially a shawn j period fan. beena skillz fan since 2004 (the rap-ups). I got mad luv for these underground underrated unknown dudes yo. BJ82 whos next for me to fan? @mcmastermind I feel ya
@destro3 i used to have the same opinion BUT then i realized how many great songs came out in 2000. I think it was around late 2001 when hip hop started gettin cancer. Around 1999/2000 is when "ms fat booty" by mos def came out. Outkast was still puttin out hip hop BANGAZ. Not to mention on the West Coast....Mykill Miers came out with his debut album "it's been a long time coming" which is a lovely hip hop album. trust me....in 2000 hip hop was still alive and kicking.
@destro3 check out everyone (mostly) that came out of Boston in the early 2000's (ex. 7L & Esoteric, Akrobatik, Skitzofreniks) and just across the country with People Under the Stairs, Foreign Legion, Demigodz.. Hip Hop did not die but it definitely went into hiding. Look up Celph Titled's last album "nine-teen ninety now" for some good shit this year that brings you back to the '90s..
