There are no clear cut traffic laws in Italy... American police would have a field day giving out citations :) I would hate to drive in Europe Period. I will walk or take a bus, train , taxi
@SimplyMario89 Fuck you you damn idiot. The whole bloody world is laughing at us for your fucking garbage and your fucking jungle-like street behaviours. Develope yourselves for fuck's sake it's 2011 instead of accusing anyone who has already done it of being racist. Or proudly feast into your poisoned mozzarella while catching tan in one of those beautiful beaches of yours that resemble junkyards. Eitherway from now on just try to pay your own bills at least.
i'm from naples. its' correct that we use to NOT follow rules. neverthless we are the most careful conductors and walker in the world. it is a fact: there are no accidents inside the urban area. and probbly this is a more efficient way.
Naples isn't really like the rest of Italy. They have some stop lights. It just depends. Some of them get completely ignored, others matter. You just have to figure it out. And as I said in the video, this is light traffic on a Saturday afternoon, nothing at all like rush hour when I had to drive it.
Strangely, it is sometimes. It's kind of like walking in a crowded mall. There's no "traffic control" but somehow it works fine. I remember coming back the US after driving over there for about 3 weeks. A couple days later I'm sitting at a red light at a deserted intersection - waiting, waiting, waiting. When it occurs to me that this wouldn't even be an issue in Naples!

@Nyquist80
Bull shit. Naples as one of the highest accident rates. Look at the UN data. Not following the rules doesn't mean you get you ass accident free.

it's possibly more efficient than a stop-controlled intersection!
