Metalocalypse is great, but honestly Home Movies is just so much smarter. I like it way more.

@Equity213 Agreed. Metalacolypse, while good, is kind of a one-note show, it lampoons the many eccentricies of death metal, and the corporate framework which it works under. Home Movies is alot more versatile, alot more nuanced in it's humor, and I think treats its subject matter with more tender loving care. Of course it strikes a personal sentimental chord, but I'd like to think my love for the show isn't rooted purely in nostalgia. The friends i've turned on to it would agree.

Just be glad that Home Movies had 4 great seasons!!! Look at Simpsons, South Park and Family Guy. They were all once great shows and now they are all crap. Home Movies ended on a high note.

incidentally, Home movies didn't use a "Script" in the traditional sense; the dialogue was recorded off-the-cuff a la "curb your enthusiasm."
