  • i'm looking for the piece when scott glenn jumped out of bed and the light gathered in front of him...

  • Very good. Excellent composition. And very interesting: Tangenine Dream directly implicated in a catholic concept.

  • I was so happy to see this on Netflix streaming. I don't know how they even got a copy but, I'm glad that they did. I saw this movie a handful of times back when it was in the theater (and countless times since). It's not perfect, but it's one of my favorites from the day.

  • Molasar in this moment is best EVIL CREATURE ever made in the horror movies. Thrills:D:D

  • @CitizenXT80

He's one of the best unconventional vampires on film. He is the one who supposedly inspired vampire myths but instead of drinking blood he sucks energy.

  • one of my fav films. defo my fave soundtrack....cannot get it anywhere

  • One of the best underrated supernatural and vampire movies ever! a great mix of Lovecraft, fantasy and suspense. I'm glad it's on youtube, now Lionsgate with Paramount must release this underrated gem on DVD.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Well said, just re-watched it on Video, not a great copy due to age, but that film carries a lot of power. : )

  • @Johnlindsey289 Hopefully the original director's cut will see the light of day on a dvd/blu-ray special edition one day soon. That would be awesome.

  • @TheAltair4

    Maybe Lionsgate should it.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Shame it isn't online. A beautiful movie.

  • Tangerine Dream is a dream come true!!

  • I saw The Keep for the first time last night, and although it has a few drawbacks (the out-of-sync sound mixing being one, and Ian McKellen's accent), it's awesomely photographed and scored, and the scene when Molasar saves Eva, carries her back to the chamber and treats her dad is mesmerising, one of the best scenes in a horror movie I've ever seen.

Thanks for posting the whole soundtrack, it is one of the greatest (if almost entirely unused) scores.

  • Seems all are in agreement about the synth heavy film version being better. Tangerine dream did some excellent work back in the day. I hear they still make some great stuff but I'm afraid it wil have changed to much since their heyday (personal opinion, of course)

  • @mightydagon not all, this version has an acquired taste to it

    iam beginning to like it!!

  • Film version suited the scene a lot better than this one. It's one of the best scenes of the movie.

  • Great Song, Good Movie

  • Agreed. The Puer Natus Est Nobis when Molasar was in mist-form was a lot better.

  • Both versions are both mystifying to I. I have them both. azrael1982PL - do you have a link where I can get the "bootleg" copy?? I have these scores but not the ones from the bootleg.

  • Nice, but must admit to really preferring the heavy version that appeared in the film a lot more.

  • Ditto. Why do the soundtrack versions cut good stuff out?

  • @EconomicTerror No idea, but it's frustrating.
