Such as the a Air suspension , Breaks system .ect. And use Bi- fuel with LP.Gas.for more than 5 years My SUV. So good and economy...Happy motoring coz I know how to change and move it .
I remember in HS when someone said "what kind of jackass drives two SUVs" my response was "ME!". I love rovers! and I love my carbon footprint :) At least rovers don't have a ton of acidic batteries in the back that need to be replaced every 5 years.
Alot of people call range rovers 4 being gas guzzlers, chelsea tractors, bad 4 enviroment ect, these are the very people who would love to own one but are that far up their own arses they ride a push bike in the cold Rainey mornings to get to their boring 9-5 job, advice:... Buy one, you don't know what your missin!!!, they are the ultimate iceberg melter!! & I love mine!!!!
Rovers are just wonderful... Sure, they leak, they rattle, they have quirks. But they get the job done and don't complain. They do it majestically and efficiently. A rover makes off roading look easy until its tried by another mark. Watching a RR go up a hill is like watching a skilled pilot land a plane smoothly in a severe thunderstorm. I have an old 96 P38 with 164k miles on it, original everything and has been a grand old rig.
I've had a 52 Series I (wish to hell I still had it) a Series IIA, I've had Discoveries and one Range Rover. They are all a pure pleasure to take off road. I can't even begin to say what one I like the best. No finer off road vehicle made. I think that what I would like next is a series rover in the 109 body and put "modern" V8 running gear in it. That may just be the best for off road family fun!
jeremy clarkson took an 1980's range rover classic across the amazon rainforest. despite it looks all beaten up, it is the most reliable car in the trio, no major mechanical failure, except a piece of wood got stuck in the cooling fan, broke the fan blade, and engine overheats once in a while. richard's toyota land cruiser is a constant source for problem, and james's suzuki is just bad. range rover's ability to offer superb off-road performance is amazing. search top gear bolivia special.

yeah, the only thing that many owners do worry is that: i. is very unreliable and 2. the value is very low in contrast to their japanese counterparts.
The depreciation is a plus for me and and the fact that the body style doesnt change every year like the Japanese cars. You can get a 3 year old Range for 40k that looks the same as a new one some guy just paid 90 for. What a deal!

i have not long had ny 1980 2 door rangie and yeah the electrics aren't the best but on 31'' tyres and factory running gear and suspension i got further than the land cruiser and hilux i went 4wding with and they were on 33's i had the best sounding car too!!! go the rangie!!!!!!!!!
For 100 000 km my V6 TD engine was 5 time repaired, so each time It was in service garage min 7 days, infact my RRS spent more time servicing than sreving me. I ll never ever buy any of this producer, and IMPORTER do not taka care at all, so after sale there is a zero support REALY BIG DISAPOINTING. This is a situation in Macedonia

The freelander ( I've heard) is one of landrover's first non off road vehicles. I've also heard that the have poor reliability even for a rover. Based on what i've read I would stay away from it.

There is just something about a Range Rover. I'm an LR fan as is my father (hes got a classic, i've got a discovery). Just look at the video of the late brown/burgundy classic driving towards that huge stately home. No other vehicle could look as 'right' as the Range Rover does there.

Great images of posh estate houses and silver candle holders. Look the Japanese copies of this vehicle simply cream these unreliable buckets of shit. These vehicles were groundbreaking 35 years ago but 35 years of appauling unreliability have killed the marque in Australia. I live in the North West.The Land Drover dealer in the town closed down.............say no more. My advice Dont even think about it. Toyota/Nissan
That's why it's so good. Apart from the rust/head gaskey problems, the Rangey has more class than EVERY othet 4x4, and in off-road terms, can deliver a pretty harsh backhander to about 75% of them too. It's a great all-rounder. Especially the Ford-developed ones.
Also I'm not down for the new ones. They're too electrical and have way too many problems. It's like the saying, "They don't make them like they used to!"

I'd take a Jeep Grand Cherokee over this. The Jeep beats it in almost every off-road suv test that is done. It also costs less than half of the price of a Range, plus the Jeep is faster and more fuel efficent with the mds technology that chrysler omcporporated into the hemi engine's.
Jeeps are fine cars indeed.They probably offer better value for money.But Range Rovers offer understated British style,muscle in a Saville Row suit,and some people will pay for that.Simply put,who dreams of owning a Jeep?

I agree, but not I'm not for Land Rover/Range Rover being Stylish and pretty. It's a hardy ruggid beast build for offroad. It's amazing to me how people buy these trucks with no intention of ever taking them offroad and yet pay the extra 15-20 thousand for the offroading features. Many people dream of owning a Jeep, I also have a Jeep Grand Cherokee along with my 92 Range Rover and it's been a damn good truck. But nothing can compare to a Land Rovers capability offroad...
I own a 2006 range rover and I am a land rover fan, but in terms of reliability and quality the japanese cars are much better, but in terms of luxury and class no japanese car is at the same level of an european car.
I used to have to Range Rovers. The old one (1988) was great for the off road. Then I bought the newer one (2001) and it used to look nice (limousine on big wheels) and was good enough to go through the fields and light off road but nothing beyond. Pneumatic suspension was crap for the real off road. When I bought Mercedes Gelaendewagen I understood what does the real relyable off road car mean.
I Love Range Rovers and Jeeps, jeeps aren't as nice, rovers aren't very cheep but they are both equal in off road capability, for the most part. but Rovers for being so big and nice id get one over the jeep if i could afford it. BUT if it were a Jag or a Vett... CORVETTE IT IS!

People who need proper 4x4 capability use LRs, ie farmers, mountain rescue crews, utility companies, etc. People who want a car which is relaible buy Jap 4x4s, but they wont go half the places a LR will.
The Jeep was arround before LRs were. The first LR was built with ex WW2 Jeep suspension and axles.

You are right,Jeep used to be an idol but now I would not get one even for free. and to make it worse Ford owns Land rover, that's what stop me to buy one. Range Rovers are very good off road. Why? Is their 4wd different than every other manufacturers? Is the gear reduction much lower than a standard 4x4? And, before all this computer assisted stuff, was their 4wd superior to everyone else's back in the day? Let's hear it.
They have a viscous coupling on the front output of the transfer case thus getting rid of the need for diff lock... it makes sure that drive is distributed to all the wheels properly and lets you just drive. Great invention, I love my range rover classic.
after my 94 Classic LWB, ill never go back. im only 17 now, and im gonna keep that car until i can afford another Range Rover in the future or atleast another Land Rover! :)

That's why it's so good. Apart from the rust/head gaskey problems, the Rangey has more class than EVERY othet 4x4, and in off-road terms, can deliver a pretty harsh backhander to about 75% of them too. It's a great all-rounder. Especially the Ford-developed ones.

I'd take a Jeep Grand Cherokee over this. The Jeep beats it in almost every off-road suv test that is done. It also costs less than half of the price of a Range, plus the Jeep is faster and more fuel efficent with the mds technology that chrysler omcporporated into the hemi engine's.

Jeeps are fine cars indeed.They probably offer better value for money.But Range Rovers offer understated British style,muscle in a Saville Row suit,and some people will pay for that.Simply put,who dreams of owning a Jeep?
If all cars were purchased on logic,we'd all drive small Toyotas.Fortunately,we aren't always logical.

I agree, but not I'm not for Land Rover/Range Rover being Stylish and pretty. It's a hardy ruggid beast build for offroad. It's amazing to me how people buy these trucks with no intention of ever taking them offroad and yet pay the extra 15-20 thousand for the offroading features. Many people dream of owning a Jeep, I also have a Jeep Grand Cherokee along with my 92 Range Rover and it's been a damn good truck. But nothing can compare to a Land Rovers capability offroad...

I own a 2006 range rover and I am a land rover fan, but in terms of reliability and quality the japanese cars are much better, but in terms of luxury and class no japanese car is at the same level of an european car.

I used to have to Range Rovers. The old one (1988) was great for the off road. Then I bought the newer one (2001) and it used to look nice (limousine on big wheels) and was good enough to go through the fields and light off road but nothing beyond. Pneumatic suspension was crap for the real off road. When I bought Mercedes Gelaendewagen I understood what does the real relyable off road car mean.

I Love Range Rovers and Jeeps, jeeps aren't as nice, rovers aren't very cheep but they are both equal in off road capability, for the most part. but Rovers for being so big and nice id get one over the jeep if i could afford it. BUT if it were a Jag or a Vett... CORVETTE IT IS!

People who need proper 4x4 capability use LRs, ie farmers, mountain rescue crews, utility companies, etc. People who want a car which is relaible buy Jap 4x4s, but they wont go half the places a LR will.
The Jeep was arround before LRs were. The first LR was built with ex WW2 Jeep suspension and axles.

well the car by looking at it is one of the best lookin SUV ever made but it lacks the utility land cruiser offers. by the time they were makin these rovers the japanese had alredy rolled off their FJ40 and the FJ40 literally ruled and still going strong.

You are right,Jeep used to be an idol but now I would not get one even for free. and to make it worse Ford owns Land rover, that's what stop me to buy one. In my opinion Land Cruiser is the best SUV on the road right now. My favorite is the Range Rover Classic, and I like the Defender for hunting trips.

They have a viscous coupling on the front output of the transfer case thus getting rid of the need for diff lock... it makes sure that drive is distributed to all the wheels properly and lets you just drive. Great invention, I love my range rover classic.
