I'd love to be able to play so well.

There are some aspects of the notation I don't recognise. How is 井 played, is it the same as イ? Also, how do you play ^ as it appears at the tops of lines 5, 7, 8 and elsewhere? It looks like atari but sounds like a completely separate note.
