That's what I love about Buddhism. It doesn't ask up to take leaps of faith, or to suspend our common sense. I mean, sure, there's some pretty wild cosmological stuff, mostly added later, but when you get to the core of what the Buddha taught, it strikes a truthful chord, and you almost kick yourself for not realizing it sooner. Religions like Christianity, despite some good moral teachings, deal way too much in stuff that's illogical, such that it REQUIRES us to stop asking questions.

I'm atheist, but I do follow the quotes of what Buddha says. I don't think any thing has a higher power and religion shouldn't exist. We should all just leave in peace and stop blabbering about superstitions we know nothing about.

dear Airforce and roarthwo you both are correct, Airforce is in a state of meditation without knowing it.. meditation is not only sitting and breathing making mind thoughtless.. meditation is speaking,acting,thinking with Thoughtfullness.. so even if it is about eating an apple.. buddha ate apples anywhich way :)

Okok... where to begin.

I'll have to critizie buddism for it's obsession with meditation. Meditation is an important part... but not all.

If you are one and in harmony with...let's say an apple... why don't you go, take it up and just eat it. Or use it to rub your back or whatever. Play with it. Don't just think about it. Imagine doing something with it. For me, imagination is bringing life to a picture in your head.

Meditiation to me seems like only picturing.

Eating an apple, enjoying it with your full attention is also meditation. Meditation is the opposite of 'thinking about things'. It's being fully alive in the moment.

The reason for this is that Jesus spent time from the age of 12-29 with Buddhist Monks. His time was documented by the Buddhist. Jesus' message was wholly Buddhist, not in any form from Judaism. These documents also account for the lack of story from Jesus childhood until he appears at the age of 29 again in the Bible.

O I Know so true. But they still do not know if he was real or not. The legend says he was bo rn under a tree to maya a virgin birth etc. just like jesus. Either way this info and symbol is very powerful
