  • These are 12.1-12-3 cars with good driver 11.75 on radials.

  • @standardracing... The only problem I have with what your saying is... No, so your saying a stock 445hp mustang runs 11.7's.. So tell me how fast the stock 550 HP gt500 is... Because those on drag radials are running 11's....

  • Those are great times! I think this car is running real close to 11s. But, with drag radials, that's about what I would expect. Nice car!

  • @ParisTNDude There is a guy on here with a stock Boss 302 on drag radials running 11.70's.

  • @StandardRacing I'm happy for him. There's another running 13.8s.

  • @ParisTNDude I feel sorry for that guy then. I had an '04 GT with nothing more than catback exhaust and drag radials and I was pulling 13.50's.

  • Great choice guy...Bowties are for little boys. Were you using the red "Track Key" during these runs?........P.S.......I just broke the 10th Commandment cuz I'm so coveting your BOSS!..........I still love my 66 GT Pony Convertible though. See it on YouTube: Jessie James Wanted.

  • is this a laguna seca?

  • I ran mine last Saturday, It was a 1/4 track but I coulndt get it into 4th , Kept locking me out, probably not enough experience with myself yet, Anyways my 1/8 mile runs were 7.96 with 1,78 60ft.

I also felt a cli=unk , not sure if it were the bushings in the upper link? I had MT/ET street drag radials

  • its fast for stock.

  • Did you not*

  • Almost makes me wish i didn't get the 5.0 last year and just waited!!

  • yea I have been looking ahrd at one of these, wanted the GT5 for ever but when they first came out h*ll they all wanted 25k over list so pissed me off and I forgot about it.then drove one of these in Austin the other day, 30K out the door with extra warranty..and with-in 3tenths of the s/c right out of the box. Air tune, drag radials and a shot aughtta tromp most anything stock, amazing, plus super twisties!.'bout time a real street beast from ford rules again. Lil suspention work and yer good

  • @THEMASTEROFYOU2000 was this a used boss? A 2012 boss going for 26k plus Tt&l? Don't take this the wrong way but your full of shit!

  • @braddfordy 26K where the hell do you get your prices. A Boss is 40K and almost 50K fro teh LS. That is before markups.

  • @ohioborn80 did not read my comment? This guy said he seen a 12 boss for 30k out the door which is around 26 plus taxes I then said he was full off

  • @ohioborn80 btw I wasnt trying to be a ass

  • @braddfordy That fine..BUt 26K..YOu can't get a new base 5.0 for that price...The Boss are bad ass. What a shame is people are drag racing them and it was never met for that.

I will take my 5.0 in which I have about 5k less then a Boss cost and spank there ass all day.

If I wanted a road course car ya I would have bought a Boss.

  • @ohioborn80 oh I know you can't get a boss at that price unless it was underwater a few weeks ago lol! Yea I wouldn't really drag it but does very well. I wanna see a boss on boost ts or turbo.

  • @braddfordy Lethal Performance has on on Nitrous that wnet 10s. Also KB just released the 3.6L superchargers that are for the Boss and 5.0. On the Boss it made 850whp with everything else stock. No aftermarket headers, exhuast etc.

  • @ohioborn80 good lord! What's the plan for your car

  • @braddfordy My engine is out. Getting forged internals/stage 3 comp cams/RAN HD clutch/Billet aluminum fly wheel/Aluminum Drivesgaft/250shot of nitrous. Plus some other stuff...LOL..Then once I get back from Iraq I will look into either a supercharger or turbo setup. Engine will handle about 1200hp. WIth current setup will make over 500whp N/A and about 750 with spray.

I ran a best of 11.80@118 with a DA of 3000 in 90* weather this summer in TX. In fall.winter that is good for lower 11's.

  • @ohioborn80 don't you just love these tx summers! I am in dfw! I am looking for a mystic 04 cobra to be a garage queen but the new motor is making some stupid numbers and its messing up my plans. I can see a grabber blue 12 gt in my life soon

  • @braddfordy I wish I would have got Grabber blue..It is my fav color..We are looking fro a grabber blue 5.0 convertible for the wife. Has to be auto though. SHe even settle for a couple.

WHat funny is she works at a Chevy dealer...LOL

  • @ohioborn80 Damn lol that's awesome! How soon are you looking to get Your wifes car?

  • @braddfordy As soon as we fidn one. It don't have to be a convertible. But would make it a lot better.

So far I have her talked out of a SS convertible. LOL

  • @ohioborn80 good deal if a see one I will let you know. How are you from Dallas

  • @braddfordy We are about 2 and half hours from Dallas. Killeen/FT. Hood.

  • HOLY CRAP that thing runs hard for a stock car.

  • Looks like a great car. I have been seriously considering selling my Drag Strip only Capri (and a few other things) to buy one of these since I don't really have the time to race on a consistent basis anymore. Now that you have had it for a few months, what are your overall impressions of it? I race 1/8 mile most of the time myself. It makes for close racing, so I prefer it. This car with a minimal amount of modifications should be heading towards the 6's in the 1/8 without any problems.

  • @capriracer351 I absolutely love the car and would recommend it to anybody! It's quick as can be straight out of the box, and can be tame enough to drive daily. Doesn't have all the creature comforts of some cars, but it is purpose built, and it serves its purpose well!

  • Great job man. Just for reference, my Mach (w/ bolt-ons & tires) ran a 12.09, the 1/8 time was 7.74. So your bone stock Boss w/ good rubber just ran a 12.1x 1/4 mi. run. Great runs & beautiful ride.

  • @rygi23 I ran 12.1@114 in my 5.0 with just tires. Search centexss.

  • damn haters.... i think its friggin sick!!! looks even better in person.

  • Heh. I-20 in the background

  • Ignore these guys commenting on how your running slicks is stupid and that you should go to a 1/4 mile track. If I had an 1/8 mile track near I'd be going to it too. Keep on driving the car the way it's meant to be driven, awesome car

  • thats an 11 sec car easy

  • AWESOME! Thanks for sharing!

  • nice man love the boss thats my dream car there!!

  • yeah...all the homos commenting cannot afford one...they are called haters. get a job, post videos of your brand car, then you can talk

  • Great vid!!! Aim for the 6's!!!!

  • 1/8 mile runs are a waste of time. You never hear any car magazine editor rant about 1/8th mile times because 1/4 mile times are more representative of a cars top end capability.

  • @ravenstylea2 Let's see,, the nearest 1/4mi strip is about 2 hrs away, this 1/8mi strip is 2 miles from my place.

PS - there are conversions out there to calculate (albeit ballpark) 1/4mi times based on 1/8mi times.

PSS - A drag strip isn't where you'll find representations of the BOSS's true levels of performance anyway, you'll find that on a road course. The nearest one is 3 hrs from me, but I'll be sure to post video of that when I get a chance.

    PSSS -Thanks for your concern.

  • @blackbullitt4399 Problem is, you usually have to pay hundreds if dollars for track time and the wear and tear on tires is fierce. If you have a lot of money, that may not be a problem, but for the average enthusiast, it's hard to justify a track focused car vs an every day fast muscle car. Nice runs on the Stang...awesome!

  • @ravenstylea2 Exactly

  • Bad ass man. What RPM did you launch at?

  • @AeroEngineer7 I think the last run was at 6k.

  • Our track sucks balls. 8.2-8.5 on regular street tires (not that Drag radial bullshit) is hard to do.

  • No not tring to get a rise. Just would like to know what it would do in STOCK trim.

  • wow last time I looked road and track motor trend and all the car magazines don't use drag radials to get ther times they don't even use a quarter mile track because it is setup to get better grip I'm a ford guy but when it comes down to it it's the driver. that car is 8.20 to 8.40 all day long stock tires

  • @Mufcstriker12 Last time I looked, I don't work for Motor Trend or any other auto journalist sites. It's my car, I'll drive it how I want it. If you're trying to get a rise out of me by trolling the comments on my videos, you're wasting your time.

  • @blackbullitt4399 Dont let any of these fool talk down on that thats awesome a stock car running that fast is awesome plus who cares if you run 1/8 or 1/4 its just fun to take your car out and race it!! Im sure all these idiots trolling are the guys who talk shit but never even run thier cars.

  • Congrats on running 7's in your new BOSS! That's awesome and great job on the video's!

  • @Mufcstriker12 umm he prob didnt want to run his drag radials on his stock wheels. its just a guess though. you would never get accurate times with stock trim radials that come factory on the car.

  • Date should read 2011, my bad. :)
