Another good thing is that Worf unintentionally simplified the daunting task of choosing the future Klingon chancellor. Picard should feel relieved. Although Picard later reprimanded Worf, he should have awarded Worf later on.
The funny thing about Worf is that, he oftentimes got owned by someone else in many other episodes, except when he has issues with other Klingons. He was directly responsible for the rise and the fall of Gowron. Hey ... Worf the Kingmaker!
What Worf did to Duras is perfectly normal in Klingon culture. Fortunately, Riker did not stop Worf from killing Duras. Had Riker interfered, the Klingons would consider the Feds as a bunch of spineless morons. If anything, having a reputation as a spineless moron is not very helpful when conducting business with the Klingons.
@Waterflux , your right what Worf did what was normal for the Klingon's Picard and Riker might disagee but they can't stop Worf from doing what must be done. The Fed may have it's rules and Worf maybe part of the Fed now but his Culture comes first. I admire Worf and what he had to do.
@Astraldragon1 Indeed. What little that I have understood about how to deal with the Klingons in general over the years: If you have an unresolved dispute and if it requires showing to others that you mean business, you better back it up. The nice thing about the Klingons is that they respect challenges with no frills.
Incidentally, a blade through the throat seems like the kind of thing 24th Century medical science could easily remedy since we can sort of deal with even today. Guess no one liked Duras enough to help him.
I take it Riker was not happy to hear Worf would kill someone. I've never seen this episode so I'm guessing. either Way regardless of if he approves or not...that is the Klingon way. to stop Worf or any race from doing what their culture lives by is wrong. not every one lives by "forgive and forget" like some humans do.
Duras- Killed the Woman Worf loved, Lied and made his father a trader , Got him kick out of the Empire, and knowing that he took a bullet for the Empire goes out of his way to treat him like crap. For once a bad guy in Star Trek got what was coming to them.
I was just talking about why would you be looking to a place full of people stabbing in your back , when you could look home there were those nice parents are lol.
@PastaDr I'm not a true fan? Really? I contain a vast array of Trek knowledge. I'm NOT saying I know everything, by any means, but I'm a huge FAN of this series and the franchise as a whole. Don't assume shit just because someone asks a simple question.

Hey, I just noticed something. The Klingons didn't roar when Duras died. I guess they realized that Duras wasn't headed to Sto'Vo'Kor.

People like Duras is the reason when he is looking out the windows of 10 Forward he is looking at Earth and not the Empire.

@Joeybsmooth - I thought it was because of people like his parents like the episode states.

@Joeybsmooth What about Dukat and the Borg Queen in the DS9 and Voyager finales? I thought those were deliciously poetic justice.

@megagrey I would have like to have seen Dukat get it from Worf, even though Sisko did nicely.

Interesting, the Traitor(Worf) seems to be one of the true Klingons even though he was raised by humans.
