  • Johnny Thunders is the best thing to happen to rock'n'roll, period!!!

  • This is the coolest stuff, this is 1970s rock'n'roll.more people need to hear this.

  • i really dug the dolls, BUT fuckin loved the heartbreakers !!! imho...

  • you a chatterbox, DriverSimon

listen-up to some edge of de volcano; live is best!

  • This is how it's done!

  • Fucking Stupid audience, with little virgin girls, ridiculous. Johnny Thunders, maybe one of the greatest thing that rock'n'roll brings to us.

  • oooh what a great intro! lipstick killers!

  • That guitar that Syl has was taken by Malcolm and given to Steve Jones a couple of years after this.

  • i do believe that is the infamous steve jones sex pistol les paul syl is playin. i heard malcom asked syl to play guitar for the pistols but it never happened for some reason.

  • @TheSonicmule It's true.

  • LOL- love the innocence above embedded in the caption by Postpunkman. "This band is pretty good." Sigh...it's 2009 and we so desperately need another NY Dolls.

  • im all blowed back right now. johnny really knew how to rock. what a thrill to see this

  • Johnyy Thunders on his best

  • Comment removed

  • sylvain is playin the guitar which later was handed over to Steve Jones of the sex pistols!!!

i still think steve made better use of it!

  • yeah i wrote that like on a million diff vids i think the same way...but its kinda funny steve did use his black lp and double cut more...he also had a burny in the 70's copy of the white gibsn like in the god save the queen video its not a gibson its a burny even look at the headstock

  • exactly right... good eye and expertise... idk that i agree that steve was any better, though. i'd say they're on the same plane. what'd you think of steve's solo stuff?

  • sorry to take so long to reply dident see you replied to mine! i like the greedies and professionals,i dident like mercy or fire and gasoline too much tho...and also idk id say put better use to it because he was a lead guitarist and did alot more on it where as sylvain only had the guitar for a short time and dident use it as often

  • steve stole it

  • no he stole mick ronson's guitar. he was in david bowies band during the early 70s.

  • @McDJohnny No It was Syl's guitar that was taken by McLaren when he briefly managed the Dolls & I believe Steve Jones still has it to this day. Mick Ronson's Les Paul is hanging in one of the Hard Rock Cafes

  • this song is great, yeah :)

  • love this.

  • He had soo much energy then

  • Yah. Pretty good.. LOL

  • Woow... fuck...

  • Johnny was the real soul of the Dolls, this video bring me at the time of the MC5. Same energy breaks out in my heart

  • Go Johnny! Thats so cool in the beggining! ive never seen johnny put on lipstick straight to the camera!

  • I like the black and white version where David is wearing a lovely cocktail dress better.

  • I've been a Dolls fan for thirty years but this is the best thing I've ever seen! And remember kids, to paraphrase Johnny, "The Dolls ended the day me and Jerry left."

  • @DriverSimon The original dolls died when johnny left but even then the new albums are pretty fucking good.

  • classic track!!!

  • haha johansen só fica de curva no canto.

  • shit one of the greatest american bands

  • woooooooooo....incredible

  • This is some serious old school coolness.

  • M<y Gawd thisis swééét stuff.€;~)
