my uncles old roommate was Kelly from Night Ranger. He was super cool and recorded me some night ranger stuff on tape and mailed it to my house. i later recorded punk rock over the tape he sent me. Kelly had a recording studio up in their attic in west hollywood. i played his guitar players les paul, some guy named jeff. i was only 15 at the time. fyi kelly was the singer and drummer of night ranger.
whats the model of the marshall your using. Im kinda diggin the tone. and is it a tube or solid state. I work at a music store so I think I might be able so find one somewhere even if they dont make it anymore.
@Blaze13rock Cool, I have actually played that amp before, and the head version. Do you mind if you make a video demonstrating pinch harmonics on this amp cuz im really considering buying it but im wanting to make sure its right before I buy it. Just a quick demo of the heaviest distortion you can get and a good solid rock sound cuz i do a little bit of metal stuff.
Great playing and very very talented, but makes teen shredders like Jason Becker etc of the 80's just so much more godly to know they did it all without the internet, and just tape recorders and mel bay books lol. You are very good though no denying it!!
Excellent job man! And you're totally right with the whole self taught thing. I have been playing for going on 25 years, and not once have I heard Night Ranger's solos played as expressively as you.
Awright Blaze!!!! You can rip, man... I'm learning this song for one of my bands, and I get to do both solos too - not easy by any means, and you pulled it off great, amigo.
Blaze... natural talent and an ear for what sounds good. Glad to see that you are taking it serious. Would like to hear some more Brian Duffy vocals with your group? Not a dis on your lead. You guys rock. 5*
Dude.....you are so awesome, i am 14 and just started playing 6 months ago and still kinda suck, since i don't have a formal guitar teacher and basically teaching myself
Hey, I've been playing 10 years. Keep on playing! If you can't get a guitar teacher, I recommend instructional videos. There are plenty in a Guitar Center or right here on YouTube.
Yes Blaze is right. But I myself recommend self taught. If you have a guitar teacher, you are learning their style of playing. You have to build on from year and years of playing. You will automatically put it in your own style. Its just in your heart. And another great thing about self teaching is you dont have to pay to have a guitar teacher.
That isn't a floyd rose buddy, lol, thats an ibanez model trem, either the Edge 3 or Zero Resistance. So far I have yet to see a Floyd Rose on an Ibanez, besides Steve Vai's.
