I've been spinning for two years now, and I'm happy to say the art is contagious. It has worked as a good meditation for me and for everyone else I know that spins regularly.
I had the same problem, but they saw how hard I worked at it and how good I was getting and they decided without me to get me a pair. Because I was and still practice usually multiple hours a day.
poi has helped tremendously learn how to use my right side of the body. Which by the way has had no coordination until now. the benefits from poi are worth the time and effort it takes to learn this art.
This documentary really gives me so many ideas to mold into my own poi spinning... i am really gald that you post videos..like this one... to help other people mold their practices into their own...
well The thing i liked was the back stroke with mirror behind it.. its the only thing i never could. but thanks for the video shot with the mirror and girl spinning so slowly that i tryed it once.. twice and now i can do it " :)
