Batistuta was a Gigantic Striker in his time. Very loyal, if he went to any of the Megaclubs that wanted him he would have scored maybe 300 goals in his career, his heart was in fiorentina.,cannot be compared to anyone. I am Happy that a player like him finally got his scudetto with Roma in 2001. this is why it is so emotional. big big fan of batistuta, remember how he had tears of joy and sadness after this goal went in...
bati was by far the best striker of his time even when he was with boca jrs and people used to boo him he did what he had to do and lets stop comparing him with CR7 or MESSI or any of those great brazilians because BATIGOOL has no comparison he was a solid 9 that did wonders inside the box and 5 meters out

@MagicMadders Actually it's Association Football, and soccer comes from an old nickname for Association, because Rugby Football was widely known as Football throughout Europe. Soccer didn't start in America nor is it limited to America. It's also becoming a more internationally accepted term, so quit being a retard.

a true gentleman with strong values! you don´t see too many players like him right now. They are just soldiers of fortune that would play for the highest bidder.
I remember watching this on TV and when he scored ... It gave tears in my eyes, I can only imagine the agony and sadness he felt when he kicked the ball. And what a goal it is! There can be Messi, Ronaldo, Totti, Zidane - I don't care, there won't be another Gabriel Batistuta ever again.

@AnasAlex10 hahahaha yeah, Batigol pure class. remember? he agreed to cut his hair in order to be in the team whereas other 2 left, stating that coach doesn't respect them enough.
@AnasAlex10 the Arsenal fans were cunts. They practically forced him out of Arsenal themselves. Regardless of my personal opinion of Adebayor, they deserved his celebration.
Probably my favourite football moment over the last few years.
Batigol is much more reputable than Ronaldo (fat one) in Italy ... He is the true warrior because of successful in Italy (the most defensive league) Unlike Ronaldo, who win World Footballer because he played well against crab defense...

@AnasAlex10 hahahaha yeah, Batigol pure class. remember? he agreed to cut his hair in order to be in the team whereas other 2 left, stating that coach doesn't respect them enough.

@xolloy01 yes , they could have a stronger team in 98 but I believe Caniggia and Redondo left the national team because the short hair rules

@Megadeth72 oh yes! those two are the names i've forgotten.
Batigol+Veron+Zanetti+Cambiaso+Ortega+Riquelme+Crespo=one of the all time best Argentinian Squad.

@AnasAlex10 Adebayor was nothing but an overpayed monkey, And this comming from an arsenal fan.

@AnasAlex10 the Arsenal fans were cunts. They practically forced him out of Arsenal themselves. Regardless of my personal opinion of Adebayor, they deserved his celebration.
Probably my favourite football moment over the last few years.

A very noble man and a fantastic player. Torres is my hero but if Batistuta was playing today I know who would be better in comparison.

Batigol is much more reputable than Ronaldo (fat one) in Italy ... He is the true warrior because of successful in Italy (the most defensive league) Unlike Ronaldo, who win World Footballer because he played well against crab defense...
