I think a sense of skepticism (not outright cynicism) is the right approach to anyone. Having said that, it's hard to imagine Todd White not being sincere.
Regarding what the Bible states about healing, the fact is that Jesus not only gave power to heal to the apostles, but to an additional 70 so that they could do His works. Those works always included healing and casting out evil spirits in addition of course to preaching the kingdom.

@PUSHUP2YA Christ is not Jesus' last name, it means "Anointed One." Many people believe "Jesus" lives inside them but don't think they are anointed, or that they have to get an anointing. But if you live like "Christ" lives in you not just a man named Jesus, you will do what He did because you will realize that you are ALREADY empowered to do it. Just finished a 5 part 3 day confrence with Todd White. This was my first time to see him. There were so many miracles that I lost count. I saw 2 people who came to our church to tell him off and say how much they hate God. But Todd Loved on them and they broke down and praised the Lord and re-found there Love for God. For those who think Todds evil, ask yourself why in the world would the devil want hurt angry people to come back to God!

You need to be really careful. The Bible teaches that the Spirit gives gifts like healing and miracles to members of the body of Christ. This is the teaching of scripture. Matthew 7 warns that some people who work iniquity will claim to cast out devils and do wonderful works in Jesus name. Does that mean all who do such are evil? No, Christ did such things and sent apostles who did the same. These gifts were also given to the church. If you lambast someone just for doing miracles, you err.

From scripture, i can expect that some people who claim to do miracles, healing, etc. are wicked and that others are righteous. I know I have to be careful. I Corinthians 12 shows us that gifts of healing were manifested in 'regular believers' there in Corinth, not just among the apostles. @kingseller1 I used to believe the same way that only the biblical men were the healers and destroyers of demons,and i also found it to be silly to think Christ could ever move through any one of us in any of these ways. Until my unborn daughter had a heart condition that that threatened her life. Because i believed this way i felt hopless and all i could do was to fast and pray. God spoke to my heart and told me to lay my hands on and call on Jesus.

I finally gave in because God was screaming to my heart, i couldn't ignore any longer and if i tried i would be disobeying him. So i layed my hands on my wife and called to Jesus. I felt the spirit. and as quick as my prayer He was gone. It wasn"t until our next ultrasound that God proved to me that he is still God. My daughters heartbeat was normal and stronger than ever.

@PUSHUP2YA Christ is not Jesus' last name, it means "Anointed One." Many people believe "Jesus" lives inside them but don't think they are anointed, or that they have to get an anointing. But if you live like "Christ" lives in you not just a man named Jesus, you will do what He did because you will realize that you are ALREADY empowered to do it. You can't say, "Jesus lives in me, but I don't have an anointing to do that stuff!" That's impossible. Every believer is anointed. :D

Just finished a 5 part 3 day confrence with Todd White. This was my first time to see him. There were so many miracles that I lost count. I saw 2 people who came to our church to tell him off and say how much they hate God. But Todd Loved on them and they broke down and praised the Lord and re-found there Love for God. For those who think Todds evil, ask yourself why in the world would the devil want hurt angry people to come back to God!

You need to be really careful. The Bible teaches that the Spirit gives gifts like healing and miracles to members of the body of Christ. This is the teaching of scripture. Matthew 7 warns that some people who work iniquity will claim to cast out devils and do wonderful works in Jesus name. Does that mean all who do such are evil? No, Christ did such things and sent apostles who did the same. These gifts were also given to the church. If you lambast someone just for doing miracles, you err.

kingseller1, The problem with your views is that they are not in line with scripture. From scripture, i can expect that some people who claim to do miracles, healing, etc. are wicked and that others are righteous. I know I have to be careful. If you go around lambasting anyone who does miracles, you could find yourself in the position of those accused the Spirit of being an evil spirit, the example of the unforgivable sin in scripture.

emotionalism? Do you realize in every one of his teachings he emphasizes the necessity of being rooted in the word? A quote of his that has impacted me greatly is that we can't make our experiences our bible, but that we have to keep our bible as our bible no matter what our experiences are. This guy studies and is rooted in the word more than any other I've come across.

Can a false prophet heal the sick and cast out demons. Jesus said that lucifer would not divide his own kingdom. This man Todd White does not heal and has never healed anyone, neither has Todd Bentley, Katherine Kuhlman, or Benny Hinn or any other person since the Apostles. Jesus healed the Apostles Healed but you never see anyone else in the New Testament heal anyone. See my comment to timschutte.

I Corinthians 12 shows us that gifts of healing were manifested in 'regular believers' there in Corinth, not just among the apostles. That debated part of Mark 16 talks about them that believing laying hands on the sick and they shall recover. Jesus said that he that believes in Jesus, the works that He did, will he do also, and greater works than these shall he do. You need to read the Bible more carefully, friend.

I pointed out that I Corinthians shows gifts of healing among Paul's readers, not just the 12. You accused me of being a Bible twister when I pointed this out. Acts shows that the apostles appointed the Seven, and that two of these men, Stephen and Philip, did miracles.

What you are saying is either a massive but true rebuke (in which case you are not carrying out your rebuke according to scriptures' guidelines), OR, you're falsely judging these men and need to repent lest you be judged too. Todd White, and others,Crowder, Bentley, Hinn, et. al. do not preach the truth of the gospel. They preach a prosperity gospel that is as foreign to the Bible as Islam. They preach and teach a form of healing that is as foreign to the Bible as New Ageism, in fact it is New Ageism dressed up in Christian terms. I have personally witnessed people die because of what these and others teach. They constantly lie about so called "healings" and they use the same tactics as professional hypnotists.

I posted passages from Scripture telling us to pray for healing in Jesus' name, but you have refused even the word of God. Praying God's Word healed my son, miraculously so, against the report of the professional. I don't understand your lack of faith in God's word. It appears that you may be lost in legalism. What denomination do you belong to?

@kingseller1 Well, you do have a point in regard to those prosperity teachers. Unfortunately, too many take the Scripture out of context and preach a different message than Christ intended. God does not intend for every believer to be rich monetarilly. And disease is NOT an indication that one's walk with the Lord is lacking. Jesus said in this life we will have tribulation. The key is not to lose trust in God, regardless of circumstance. But, JEsus also said we would heal, in HIs name.

Even here in James it is clear that it isn't a person doing the healing "the prayer of faith shall save (heal) the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up;" not the believer. Furthermore it never happes or happened the way these Todd's do it, or Benny, or any other faith healer.

@kingseller1 JEsus told us "you will do greater works than I", cuz His time was shortened by HIs sacrifice. He instructs us to heal simply based on our faith in His power to work through us. Do not limit His power by man's titles of "pastor". I have prayed healing over my children & have experienced/witnessed their miracle healing. When the apostles rebuked the non apostles for casting out demons in His name,JEsus rebuked the apostles.Titles mean nothing in the sight of God. God seeks believers.

The "greater works" Jesus was speaking of was not healings and miracles. Healings and miracles were only done by a few, not many, men in the Bible, and I don't think there was ever a women who healed anyone. Greater works was in reference to spreading the gospel which is what the apostles and others did. Todd White is a Todd Bentley but not yet as popular.

@kingseller1 I used to believe the same way that only the biblical men were the healers and destroyers of demons,and i also found it to be silly to think Christ could ever move through any one of us in any of these ways. Until my unborn daughter had a heart condition that that threatened her life. Because i believed this way i felt hopless and all i could do was to fast and pray. God spoke to my heart and told me to lay my hands on and call on Jesus.

@kingseller1 I tried to deny what i was hearing because it was just plain sillyness. I finally gave in because God was screaming to my heart, i couldn't ignore any longer and if i tried i would be disobeying him. So i layed my hands on my wife and called to Jesus. I felt the spirit. and as quick as my prayer He was gone. It wasn"t until our next ultrasound that God proved to me that he is still God. My daughters heartbeat was normal and stronger than ever.

@rowfam4JC And you have absolute proof of this? I have three kids and all of them had "issues" during pregnancy, all of them are normal, well as normal as a kid can be, and all of them are healthy. My daughter was a 7 min c-section and almost died in the womb. I am not saying that God didn't intervene, I believe he did, but not because anyone laid hand on her. Find me one medically legitimate case of a true faith healing. They don't exist because faith healers are liars and theives!

@kingseller1 Jesus can still heal, my grandma was healed by Jesus, when she was in her teens she had a rare form of skin cancer and the doctors at the time had nothing more than chemo to treat her with. Im glad even doctors believed in God and Jesus back then because they felt they could do nothing for her. then one of the nights she was in the hospital Jesus visited her and laid his hands upon her and she didnt have cancer the next morning, if she wasnt healed i wouldnt be here, thank God

I have seen amazing things with my own eyes, things that you might be tempted to call miracles, but my friend they were sleight of hand tricks and manipulations. Watch some David Blaine videos or Cris Angel videos and you will see what I am talking about. Todd White does the same kind of thing.

Christ means "anointed one". The indwelling Holy Spirit gives you this same anointing. You are in Christ and He is in you!
