Heard a few years ago that re-release of Jeremiah Johnson was being worked on in which Robert Redford would add commentary. Anybody know if this was ever released? This was around the time Sydney Pollack (director of Jeremiah Johnson) passed away so maybe it got cast aside.
I am 18 years old and I love old movies and songs my #1 fav song is now this one lol and my #2 is and always will be is "all I have to do is dream" - by the everley brothers great music that actually made sense and feelings back then now music is just ridiculous!!!!! I wish I lived back in those days wear there was only nature and family that was important instead of cell phones and TV and video games, ect. Its pathetic. But anyway amazing movie and amazing song I just completely love it.
my favourite bit of the film is the end when the song sings "and some folks say...he's up there still" but I can't seem to find this on any soundtrack?!? Any ideas anyone, or is it actually somewhere in this track and I have missed it?
@OllieWheats for some reason the official soundtrack omits that phrase from the song. I found another video where it seems the poster took the music from the movie and mixed it himself. watch?v=H3NOLrdIC-s&feature=related
This movie inspired me to go buy a 54 cal. Hawkin Mountain Rifle in a "kit" form. Built in about 5 days. It shoots great and it blew through 5 55gallon oil drums once.
Such a great movie. I love the woods and outdoors and would really enjoy living in the woods off the land like this. I enjoy having the technology that we do today but living like this would just be so neat and enjoyable to me. I love being in touch with mother nature too.
what a fantastic way to live your life' what i would give to have the chance to be a mountain man' all i do is trap and shoot small game' i'd love to be able to live like jeremiah, like our forefathers,
@Sezais because im 50 now with a heart condition mate, i still get out with my ferrets, dog and air rifle but i walk at a snails pace but i can still dream, bushcraft is still my hobby and i hope to pass a few things on to my grandson, when i was younger id be out every weekend' now its a few times a year, old age comes to us all im afraid and if your ticker does'nt work proper then you get grounded im sorry to say, great film tho,
