Disturbing...but in a good way. A reminder that we all needed.
I do hope that if I ever have a daughter that I can build a relationship with her that she would tell me if she was experiencing violence. How destructive this must be to deal with alone.
That said, I have an amazing Mom, yet I ended up in an emotionally abusive relationship with a man at that age & never said anything. I was embarrassed & I just kept finding excuses for him. I am really glad that didn't end up being my life.
