Stop talking shit what they have dune is great the stuff on the brake discs is from the wheel cleaner and the suds from the body work won't stick back on the wheels because the time it's left on there is so short they will simply just rinse it of !!
I have to admit, the audi was completly wrong... First you start by rinsing the loose dirt off of all of your car (However, if you have that stuff on the brakes, take it for a spin first, not after its been cleaned...) then you start to wash the car from the top down, then you wash the alloys. Because if you wash the alloys first, then the body. When you rinse the Soap off the body it goes onto the alloys...
@ezni82 no don't do that. The streaks from the water could dry over extremely small particles of dust. and completely ruin the wash. So unless it's perfectly clean, it'd be better to just get a shammy/chamois.
@ThEc00lEr Yes I understand that but what did he put on them? Because he had to put some type of soap on them and then drove and press the brakes down to get the crud off right?
@csuave2000 nope just normal usage will make your brake rotors look clean. Remember they are bare metal and will rust if not driven. Also no you never put soap on your pads or rotors. That will make the slick and make the brakes not work.
@ThEc00lEr So what if my rotors look a little rusted already? What do I do to clear off rust? My car is basically new and I'm not sure if this is b/c of the rain?? help!
@csuave2000 Ok rotors are bear metal. Metal rusts so if you don't use the rotors and you are in a rainy or high humidity area they will rust. To get rid of the rust just take your car for a drive around the block and use the brakes. When you engage the brakes the pads make contact with the rotor grinding them down. This also takes off all of that rust and grim from not being used. Hope this helped.
if you really do not want to swirl your paint, you do not use the 2 bucket method although it is second best. what yuo do is rinse the mitt with the hose after every section of ther car you wash. when you rinse make sure you squeeze the mitt from the top down so all dirt/dust gets squeezed out. i have been using this technique for years and REALLY HAVE NO SWIRLS!
the pad should ALWAYS be held flat against the panel when using a rotary buffer such as the one in the video. Check out videos of professional detailers for proper technique
@gm031994 the newspaper myth goes back to the olden days when one of the ingredients of the ink used in the printing process was kerosene. It had its own cleaning properties. This is no longer the case, but the myth of newpaper window cleaning persists
True my friend has one and it took so long when I was coming back from work when I got back I had to go and help and within half and hour got it clean
These guys suck, they used the worst products on suck a nice car, as well they didn't use grit guards in their buckets, these over time help prevent scratches
so you can see everyone you just reaped off your lights in your S3.........through your rear vision mirror.........out of the back window........cause it's so clean... hahahahahahahahahaha
awesome video I did with what you did with the Golf On my 2003 LS Magna sedan, I have a limited edition 2001 wheels from a lancer I take the tires off at least once a year and wash them twice, and I always do a double wash but the polishing bit im very worried about, i always have a fear of hurting the clear coat and I have very very very little sun damage that can be fixed and I want to get rid of it but I would never be confident enough to try and remove it myself, any advice?
I only jsut recently got a new car so a newbie question here:
When cleaning the wheels what would be the best product to clean 17" dual tone alloys with? I hear products differ because of the different metal types in the rims.
do you guys know what i could do to make dirt not stick to my car as much? i drive ~10 miles a day, and after about 2 days, my car looks like it hasnt been washed in weeks. i normally take it to a self serve car wash, blast it with some soap, rinse it, drive home, and put on some liquid wax.
Hey guys, I`ve been having second thoughts about the chamois. The note on the package says "microfibre chamois", right? Well, correct me if I`m wrong, but isnt microfibre a polester/polyamid mix, while chamois is basically leather (real, or fake)? So was it more like a chamois or more like a microfibre, cause I`m a bit confused.
@Fuck1tJD cause wheel cleaner is super caustic and you dont want that on your supper clean paint as washing it after the wheels will stop and paint deteration from over spray
would using high pressure hoses damage the car at all? i have a pretty powerful hose and ive used it before but ive only like wet the car from a distance. so is it safe?
The products they used: Turtle wax ice car wash Turtle wax microfibre chamois 2in1 Turtle wax ice spray detailers Turtle wax wet n black Turtle wax premium grade poloshing compound Turtle wax rim clean Turtle wax wet n black tyre shine Turtle wax Clear Vue Glass Cleaner Turtle wax ice liquid clay bar Turtle wax platinum ultra gloss liquid wax Turtle wax ice synthetic paste polish/wax Just wanted to know what the sponge and cloth are. Want to buy the exact one
I have 2 beautiful Cadillac's but i notice i always get bad water spots on both. What will be the appropriate way to remove them? And thanks for the useful tips.
dudes please please tell me what type of brand of "clay" did u use? 6:10 and ok fine i guess i can read "ice" but i cant find it anywere man :( does it make the proses faster than old method ?

on a black car in particular, you should keep your wash, dry, polish/wax and removal to straight lines, to slow down the progression of swirls.
