  • Holy shit - I'm in California and that's about as close as I ever intend to get to a cloud that looks like that. We have these fluffy little sissy clouds that never fuck with you and that suits me just fine. I mean, that thing is plain evil - amazinging beautiful - but evil.

  • It better be a good year for West Texas....

  • Very Impressive storm, I don't know how I missed this tornado video after all this time. 3 to 4 more months, I can't wait.

  • 7:10

    Wow....

  • Jim, this almost looks like time-lapse if it weren't for the trees. That was intense!

  • Absolute 5 star video. The Rfd and the rapid, nearly violent rotation is in a class of it's own. Never seen one so close up with such vigorous motion. Excellent stor

    , and excellent work!

  • Amazing structure, amazing rotation, amazing lighting, amazing position...know where i'm gettin' at?

  • Waw, what a crazy weather ! These is a really big and dangerous supercell with tornado, awesome video !

  • I come from Germany and have a question. Where is the best place in usa to look a great tornado?

  • The best area to see tornadoes in the U.S. varies from year to year but is best from Texas to the Dakota's from April to June. Going north as spring progresses. The month of May is usually the best month for the most widespread activity.

  • watch out behind you i thought it was there naw you neva look yo

  • This is another one of my favorites of yours. I never seen such an awesome meso, and the structure! Unreal!

Thanks for getting such great footage to share with the world, and with your dedication to extreme weather for three decades!

    Nathan

  • First class capture. Thanks a lot!

  • Great chase , adding to favs

  • I am very much an amateur weather geek. Thunderstorms are my favorite target. Seeing this on film was impressive enough. To see it in person would have been fantastic! It looked like the Apacolypse was roaming across the Texas prairie. Terrifying but mesmerizing at the same time.

  • Don't like hearing the hail - with every stone, I cringe, wondering how much damage (how big was it?) - and then, to capture the monster on film - eeee. You braver than me! Five stars.

  • WHOA!! InCREdible!! FIVE stars!!

  • Haha the tiv was going to make an intercept, i wonder if they got it

  • The TIV was on there to! Lots of scud!

  • That is the most amazing video of a meso I've seen yet! Nice catch...wish I ould have seen it in person.

  • This is some of the most fantasticly beautiful, amazing footage. What a beautiful view of the spinning wall cloud. When the "cone started to come out the middle", well, it was just astonishing.

    WOW!

  • WooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooW !!!

  • Great shots Jim, thanks for sharing !

  • wtf did anyoen notice at 6:31 wat kind of car was that

  • Amazing footage!

  • That couldn't be more impressive if a giant tornado roared out of there. This is amazing!!

  • Absolutely amazing rotation! Thank you for sharing AND for having the onions to go out and get this stuff!

  • Folks, if you don't know where Kent County Texas is, let me say its WAY out in the boonies east of Lubbock.

  • K, it looks like you are headed somewhere on U.S. 380 in Kent Co. Can you tell me where this tornado was? Jayton? Tiny Clairemont?

  • The film site was on a east/west farm road 2320 about mid-way between north/south roads 208 and 1081 in northern Kent county. I was looking first to the west, the tornado traveled from my west to northeast, the whole event was approx. 30 minutes. These roads are seen on a county map or Texas Atlas.

  • huge funnel!

  • WOW!! I've never seen anything like that!!great footage!

  • At 6:31 Sean Casey and his Tornado Intercept Vehicle make a nice little cameo appearance.

  • Thats why I pulled the camera down to try to catch him going by.

  • The motion that mesocyclone had was UNREAL!!! Who needs the tornado, that meso could probably have lifted stuff off the ground on it's own!

  • The mesocyclone(s) rotational velocities are rather eye catching. Agreed. Nice footage.
