The disk tray, if it's a perfect semi-circle on the inside of the drive it's a Ben-Q if it a phillips there will be square indents in the drive bay if it's a hitachi its got a big circle hole in the bottom left corner of the plastic disk holder

Try your best to ask for one with a Ben-Q drive it's the best one

Just ask to see the disk tray on the xbox before purchase, thats how I got mine, besides I live in the UK and any other drive on the t360 is pretty much defunct now.

Not good. This means that the your xbox has hardware failure. Believe me or not but soon one of the pieces in the Hitachi drive will break which will soon lead to ripping your CD's the next time you put it in the console. Trust me, the same thing happen to me. I'm fixing mines right know.

they are replacing the BenQ drives with revised Hitachi disk drives, they started appearing in some models since June of 07

My XBOX 360 Premium has a BenQ Drive, and it does that same thing, but some games have gameplay and graphic problems like Lines in MotoGP '06, but with halo 3 no problems.
