Actually japan is in a crisis of its culture simply dying off of old age ailments.

The cost of living in japan is so high that hardly anyone is even having children there. Many schools actually close down simply because there are no young people to populate them.

What makes matters worse is the sentiment of the 50's similar as it was in the US. Females expect to rely on the male to take care of them financially when most males can't even find a job to support themselves.
