Well, maybe that star indeed is something to argue about... In a forum I once found a statement, that the pentagon was a symbol for the wiccan-religion. So nobody really seems to know the star's meaning, I don't know either - but I think it's a kinda cool logo and if Disturbed was a satanic band, they wouldn't have added the Christian cruzifix, but the reversed cross as a symbol for satan =)

You are speaking on a broad assumption. 80s metal, while had some good acts (just like rap has some today), was mainly hair and pop metal, a lighter and more pop oriented genre that only focused on image and songs about drugs and hookers with no real emotion in it. Even Judas Priest became infamous for joining that genre for a while. Rap-core is mediocre, and no, listen Linkin Parks Hybrid Theory or Korn to learn what Nu Metal is, asshole. Political Rap is better.
