this is just hard to believe. all i see as a kid everywhere i go driving across my whole city it seems like 90% are the "top 15%" and about 70-80 are the "top 5%" in terms of wealth. i happen to live in long beach too, which would be one of my first picks of where i would want to live if i could go anywhere. its funny that i go a few blocks away from home into the rich are where its all houses 5-20 times as expensive as mine. they must be like the top 2% only behind the mega billionaires

These are sad statistics. I accept that. But I will NOT feel guilty for being American. I will feel fortunate. The shitty existence that so much of the world struggles under is not just a matter of simple statistics. There are many complicating factors that I, as a middle class American, cannot control. The question is irrelevant anyways, on one hand, if there's a god because everything needs to be a beginning and end to everything, then what created that god? Creationists say "if the big bang started the universe, than what created that energy in the first place?" but that argument has circular logic because the same can be said about a god.
