Squier Jazz 5 Bass

@Countryboy2266 i use it for my metal band, can get a really growly tone, throw on some mid gauge strings and down tune it. its a good bass to upgrade the pickups and bridge tho. amazing for only 300 bucks

any tips on how you get that kind of string-to-string mobility? i mean, youre all over the place! how do you just randomly go crazy all over the fretboard and still make it sound good?

ok so im looking for a bass for about 300 dollars that has good sound. ive been looking at the four string version of this bass but there are no videos for it. ive gone from wanting an epiphone thunderbird to an eb-3 and this seems obviously better. also should i pay the extra 30 for the five string. opinions?

@hman3669 I'm sure it would work fine, and if you do use it for that, I recommend making the bass stick out more. When you've got clean cut tone and sound from companies like Fender and Rickenbacker, the tones cut through VERY nicely.

no the p basses have thicker necks. but a 5 string isnt that important. i wouild buy a p bass if you like it.

Squiers really emulate their Fender counterparts very well for the price, and sometimes the small difference in tone is even quite nice. When Ed Friedland compared the Fender Jazz and it's Squier Classic Vibe counterpart, I preferred the Squier! I suppose the main thing, because of lower grade materials, is longevity, but even then I'd bet a Squier can last a lifetime with care.

Yes like the fretless jaco model. The classic vib Squier models are played with the Fender side by side,in my favs. I think it is a great 5-string for the price and plays smooth.
