I really think this seafoam stuff is a crock of horse shit. In the Uk and Ireland we don't use engine cleaners. There's nothing used as widely as what seafoam is in the states anyways. If you service your car every specified by the car manufacturer your engine is going to be just fine. Synthectics oils already carry detergents that clean the engine as well as protect, lubricate, suspend and carry away to the filter any harmfull shavings and deposits.
there was v6 and v8 in firebirds in the 80s and in the 90s and 2000s thay had the 3.4 and 3.8 in the 90s the 2.8 was in the 80s so know your shit and look it up

@Motorfordtoyota v6s never came with the ws6 suspension OR the wider tires (215 vs 245). a slight change in weight distribution wont make up for that. if you wanna go against mine on a road course i welcome you to :)

@v6firebirdv6 That would make sense. The 4runner had a really bad leak at the valve cover gaskets, so I had to tear the top of the motor apart to change them.
@v6firebirdv6 i put a ls1 with a 6 speed in it before i sold it but i sold it very quick the car was from up north and the whole underneath was falling apart from rust look like the car had seen a lot of salt and water in it's day's
ya know, plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor would do wonders. Its got a wicked miss even after you poured that crap down the vaccum hose. Do a compression test also to see what the cranking comp is, then a leakdown to see how the valves and rings are.

@v6firebirdv6 Yes and Yes. I leanered that the majority of the valve noise was fixed by a valve adjustment. But, seafoam cleans out what could have been quieting the sounds. Thats why. Also, lots of people have slight compression loss after because some of the build up in the cylinders is eatin away, causing a comp. prob.
@Motorfordtoyota not sure if your 4runner would but my 88 s10 with 2.8 and single turbo and 5speed with 2.75 geared ford 9in on bags will leave him behind in 2nd gear

@holden88s10 If I had a turbo 22re maybe keep up, but the replacement for the rare turbo 22re is the 3.0l that is SLOW!!! I plan to do a SC 4.6/5.7 + 6 speed auto one day. Damn my runner is gonna be BEASTIN!!

@Motorfordtoyota I would put a hemi 5.7 in her with the 6 speed no stopping you then.. gonna twin turbo my 4.3 after i get internals got the block and heads machined .030 over bore heads taken to the limit gonna get some gmpp heads later on down the road but that will be after she is all built and running the road again gonna have my manual 3speed back she will be a tire eater again not just a door popper

@holden88s10 Oh NO NO NO. I would NEVER ruin my Toyota with a SHIT Dodge motor. It would be a Toyota 4.6 or 5.7 motor, or a Chevy 5.3 or 6.2!
