  • Ahhh love goat shooting always come away with heaps of laughs and fucked eardrums. Good to see you fellas wearing the muffs think i'll do the same next time

  • nice shooting guys.got a few my self yesterday

  • There were some terrible shots lads and some good ones.

  • @richieboi1345 usually around 80

  • You're lucky you know someone down there that lets you shoot. I had a bit of luck a couple of weeks ago in some DOC land in Waitomo (not too far off where you guys were). Got a few goats in the bush, but there's nothing as open as this. It's really hard work finding private places you can shoot on.

  • @RimfireNZ Thanks very much for your comment, yes if you have a good farm or block to hunt on..... keep it!, try door knocking around piopio.

  • @kingstoncowboy01 It's easy for me to door knock around south auckland up here (for rabbits/possums) because it's where I'm based. Bit harder when it's a couple of hours away! Gutted that one of my dads mates sold his massive farm down Piopio way. Used to hunt there as a kid. You guys should look into suppressing those rifles. I didn't regret doing it to my 7mm-08. Don't need to worry about earmuffs then. Nice video by the way. Always awesome to have footage of a highly successful hunt. Cheers.

  • @RimfireNZ It's funny you should say that about getting my 308 suppressed, since that video I had my rifle suppressed from "Dan harding rifle engineer" great having it suppressed now, should of done it years ago to save the ears!! made a big difference! makes less noise than my 222 and without the sharp crack!, bit louder than a 22 super sonic.

  • Good shooting. NZ reminds me of the UK but much more pointy. Good exercise.

  • What'd you do with them?

  • @icywinters Eat some of them and the rest for the pigs

  • that was so cool

  • you have no idea how jealous i am. i want to do this so badly

  • bro mean shooting got to get ride of em they pests!!!

  • good work but could have killed more if you had spent a lil more time getting into position

  • i go just near thier in poi poi its mint shooting out those ways if you know someone with the property

  • @NISSANSKID Yeah have been out that way too, back in my younger days.

  • OMG! THEIR SCREAMS!!

  • what calibers were being used mate?

  • @dressedgull not just the NZ way, South east aus way as well ;)

  • bro that was just plain fucking rank at 5:08

if ur gunna take the shot...you gotta finish him off

    fucking stink

  • @eliTeMaster009 Well I was just on the camera, but your right that was a shit shot and we did end up getting it.

  • @kingstoncowboy01 my father brother and i, shot 10 goats this morning within about 2 minutes, and yeah most of them were heart/head shots cause they dropped and died instantly, but 2 of them were poorly made shots one which was done by me, but was then shot instantly again through the head to finish off. but not every single shot you do in your shooting/hunting life is going to be the best shot, meaning a deadly shot. shit happens.

  • Mate does the land owner allow shooting trips or is it a friend you know?

  • @Moussi76893 I've known the farmer for years, we can only go only certain times the year due to lambing etc, and we use it as an annually to keep the numbers down for him.

  • wat calibars are the rifles used

  • good onya boys get rid of them pests mean shot at 2:25

  • Great shooting. Keep on top of them!

  • When can i join you guys doing this?

:) So amazing.. Hoping to come down to NZ from sydney next year :)

  • @leb369- No more than any other bullet

  • that looks like a fun time!! I wanna do that!!!

  • shit dude isnt it a bit expensive to use those calibers on goat even tho u home load. i shoot goat out back of wainuiomata using .243.....but the bullet can be a bit light at longer distances. but usually i get within 150m or closer.....closest being 4 meters.......there wasn't much goat left since it was a small nanny to begin with haha

  • @fmpanic000 - This is a annual goat hunting trip, I use this time to practice for when I go down south hunting for Tahr and chamois,

  • lots of meat went into the freezer and the rest were left for the pigs.

    Great for that goat curry!!

  • great shooting just curious about what you did with them after?
