  • Wo ist der Korda:D

  • Korda was a glorious player to watch on song.

  • Korda was in top top form back then, remember he won the Ozzie Open in 1998 and went to 5 sets with Sampras at Wimbledon just 2 months before this match.

  • love to see Pete get beat

  • thats why i put this match up i hate pete and liked to see him lose,to me pete was bad for tennis because he made tennis boring with his big serve.you never saw rallies when pete played.unless you got a player who return his serve, not many could but korda was special return of serve was his speciality.thats why he always played pete so tough.

  • @jayfey77 I agree I used to hate watching men's tennis when pete was around. So boring!!!

  • to make perfect net approaches, with a crafted shot, and then to just watch the ball rocket past... how deflating..

  • just look at korda u can tell the guy wasnt taking steroids dont be so stupid.

  • wat bad call?

  • you didnt see it but in the first set korda had a break point which was also a set point to win the first set and got a bad line call,if he had gotten that call he would have won in straight sets.

  • hmm.. but korda mentioned that he got lucky...

did korda get a bad call on his favor to break back sampras in the 5th to even the score?

  • korda is saying that because he is showing humility the guy is a class act,he still should have wonb in straight sets it should never have gone to a 5th set thats the point.

  • Korda was an underrated player. He hit a clean ball and could attack. I saw all these matches years ago. More interesting because there was more attacking. Serve and volley with groundies

  • korda deserved to win he played better, had some nice crosscourt backhands while pete was at the net. sampras made too many errors though

  • the reason korda won was his biggest strength is his return of serve and if you could return sampras's serve you could beat him,of course not many could return his serve on a regular basis.

  • @jayfey77 Exactly! I saw this match and a couple others in which Korda gave Pete everything he wanted and more. Korda was one of the best at return of serve during his era. And once Pete had his serve taken out, then he just wasn't near as dominant.
