There's Optimus Prime from G1, then there's Optimus Primal in Beast Wars (who becomes Optimal Optimus) and Beast Machines, then Robots in Disguise takes place in a different universe with that universe's Optimus Prime, then Armada-Cybertron all take place in another universe with their Optimus Prime, the live action movies have their own Optimus Prime, and Animated has another Optimus Prime.

I loved the original optimus, I thought his trans-metal form looked a bit stupid.. but as a hover boarding metallic blue ape was probably the sweetest design of all the transformers.. and he even had dual maces (for whatever reason). Also his super form with Primals spark is pretty amazing.

Optimus Primal is the leader of the Maximals in Beast Wars and its sequel Beast Machines. He takes on the form of a gorilla during his 'beast mode' which is this series version of turning into vehicles.

His body changes several times throughout the series as do several other characters', but he's still the same character.

Also, like the Megatron of this series, they were given the G1 characters namesake. Meaning they were named after their ancestors.

This is my favorite Optimus ever! This was the first Tramsformers show I ever watched, and to me, it's just not a Transformers show without Gary Chalk as Optimus. The only other person I can stand as Optimus is Peter Cullen, but personally I prefer Gary Chalk. Great Vidoe! :-)
