  • lorenzo lamas, el rey de las camas

  • Family Guy sent me here.

  • genius show theme. thanks for uploading

  • This is one of the best show theme songs ever in history.

  • @jrmetmoi

NO! Small Wonder is the best!

  • @jrmetmoi I second that.

  • Cipote!

  • holy shit... another one out of my childhood... whoa... time flies... miss the 80s...

  • Jamie Rose - yum

  • Thanks for posting.

  • wath a song

  • The days when TV Production Houses would spend money on opening credits. Whatever happened to orchestral intro music?

  • @MrBradv65 Guess people got tired of Bill Conti's work on all of the nighttime soaps (e.g. Dynasty, The Colbys).

  • Happy 30th Anniversary Falcon Crest! December 4,1981 CBS.

  • This was on Friday nights, right after "Dallas." The CBS one-two punch.

  • @campbellka Oh yeah!

JR and Angela! They sure knew how to get the fur to fly on their respective shows. :D

  • i used to watch the reruns in the 90's. loved watching this after coming home from school

  • One of the most brilliant scores ever done for a television show. I was a kid when this was on and never watched it, but I did watch the opening intro just for that intro.

  • I'm going to set the record straight: Today's television does NOT compare to the melodramas of the 80's! I was really young in the 80's, but I remember Dynasty, Dallas and Falcon Crest being talked about all the time. My parents and older sister never missed an episode. The plots, the actors the costumes - it all made for gripping tv. You felt as if you were peering into the lives of rich mega-families (a la the kennedy's) once a week. We have none of that these days. Its all reality crap!

  • @balloons37 i agree. i wish there were still shows like this. i love the themesong!

  • @balloons37

Although the Kardashians, Braxtons are rich families.

  • Awesome...:-)

  • this is a great intro I remember in the restaurant that my mum owns in Spain everybody running for see the beginning of falcon crest a popular event after of the launch.

  • great music score to counter dallas, also dynasty

  • The BEST 80s US soap theme song. . . . and still the best :)

  • I think these shows were better too! Come on! Today's shows use the lowest common denominator. We were smarter then compared to what I see on ota tv these days. I miss these programs

  • Here's what's funny. Take the opening credits film from "Airwolf" turn down its sound, and put this music over it. You'll be amazed how it fits like a glove.

  • Susan Sullivan was always the Tylenol woman

  • ach waren das noch zeiten

  • Damn this theme tune still gives me chills.

I was neevr a fan of the show I just loved the music.

  • @DarkLordDiablos

I Like the first season 6 seasons of the show, this show jumped the shark when robert foxworth left.

  • @jmjfanss Jumped the Shark?

    Please explain what you mean.

Weirdly while watching this again I envisioned the opening of a StarTrek series and think this tune would work quite well, shame I don't know anything about video creation to try it out.

  • @DarkLordDiablos

    The Show got real stupid.

  • @jmjfanss See that makes sense to Me. LOL

Unfortunately all great programs suffer from that at some point either due to pressure from the Network or thanks to a new writer, director or producer.

  • @DarkLordDiablos

Or Bad Scripts, let's face it, the last 3 seasons of this show have been a big disappointment.

  • when it started luckily we had two tv in the house my mom and sister watch Dallas and I watch Falcon Crest. I never regretted that choice

  • ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh FALCON CREST seufz

i was 8 years old this was in tv

  • Does anyone know where I can view Falcon Crest episode "Tuscany Venus"? out of all the episodes on youtube - that is the one I cannot find. :( Thanks

  • I'd watch the opening of "Falcon Crest" just to hear the theme, then I'd change the channel!

As far as night-time soaps, I was hooked on "Knots Landing" for its entire 14-year run. (But their theme kind of sucked.)

  • Jane looks like Nancy Reagan

  • ONE OF THE BEST OPENINGS FOR A SHOW EVER!!!!

  • WHAT CAN I SAY, HOT DAYUM. EVERY ASPECT OF THE OPENING THEME SONG TO FALCON CREST WAS VERY WELL EXECUTED......

  • white people problems

  • The FALCON CREST 30th ANNIVERSARY Reunion will be December 3, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. For all the details as well as to REGISTER, go to:

    w w w . vintagetvreunions. com / falconcrest

The cast is looking forward to meeting all of you there. Book now as seating is limited. Also, get your airline tickets now before the holiday rates go into effect.

  • epic intro wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!!!

  • Angela Channing looks so sweet and harmless in this opener. IT'S A TRAP!

  • no the reason tv shows dont have rememberable theme songs anymore is because they dont make rememberable shows anymore. its all that reality bullshit.

  • @coasttocoastman

and it's been terrible since 1992.

I Blame MTV's the Real world for all this.

  • @jmjfanss Oh please I enjoy Dexter, Fringe etc.. it has gotten better. Plus I don't need to risk being run over by a car just cos I m trying to get home on time to watch a show. I am sure I watched this show when I was 6 home alone I can't believe I have zero recollection of it , I only recognize the heavily peroxided hair and the mansions.

  • @cannoir

Not to me, it has gotten worse.

  • Haha. I didn't even know this existed till Tina Fey ( liz lemon) refrenced it on 30 Rock. I cant imagine watching this shit. A show about w.p.p. (white ppl problems)

  • @87shadowfox I know right lmao!

  • I'm so sick of "The Bachelor and The Bachelorette" and other commercial trash of today. This TV series takes the cake.

  • @30wonderwoman

TV has gone to shit ever since the 1990's

  • @30wonderwoman

I Blame the reality show the real world from 1992 that really started television going to shit.

  • Great memories!

  • William (Billy) Moses is a fine hot gentleman.

  • @MoJoRod30 And now for a pop quiz--Go to a garden party and name Mr. Moses' former father-in-law.

    Good luck.

  • @Juliaflo

    Ricky Nelson?

  • @MoJoRod30 Yes, the late, beloved Eric Hilliard Nelson (1940-1985).

  • Loved watching this show as a kid. Now that I think about it I shouldn't have been watching these shows. Oh well the damage is done. lol

  • Oooh Jamie Rose - she's still mega hot.

  • just epic! this song remind me so much of friday nights way back when....first it was dukes of hazzard, then dallas then falcon crest...my mom and dad loved this stuff...great great memories

  • I don't know why, but I never saw the Gioberti family as rich as the Ewings or the Carringtons. No ones has rich as the Carringtons.

  • @jwatwater

Channings are the rich ones, Gioberti's are close too.

  • Robert Foxworth! A Truly great actor and notable 'Star Trek' Alumni.

  • I was SO excited when this show finally came out on DVD! I bought The Complete First Season on the day it was released! Hands down, this is my favorite of the primetime soaps of the 1980's, especially that epic theme from Bill Conti (who also did the theme for DYNASTY, a close second)! And it was awesome when they got Quentin Collins on there as an arch-rival for Angela. I might go ahead and order The Complete Second Season in hopes that the rest of the series will be released someway!

  • Lorenzo Lamas as Rich and later as Renegade.

  • The Cold War would of ended sooner if Reagan and Jane Wyman stayed married.

  • NO CREDIT FOR CHAO LI? Real BS!

  • Jamie Rose was a hot fire crotch

  • Such a shame that SoapNet doesn't air this program. Anyone who watches ABC soaps knows that Brian Frons is an ass.

An even bigger pile of bs that Season 1 can be purchased on Amazon. com for $15, and other seasons cost over $50.

Maybe I should ask the Easter Bunny for a TV station...

  • Best music and best looking cast of the genre. Susan Sullivan, how gorgeous is she?! ;-)

  • I was too young to understand this show as a kid...But what I do remember is watching these opening credits immediately after The Dukes of Hazzard went off, just so i could see the falcon turn his head near the end of the theme. It got me every time! i distinctly remember my parents and aunt saying, uh oh jason. . here comes the bird!

  • I enjoyed wathching this show every week with my wife just before we were married. The some years later we met Lorenzo Lamas at "Chiller Theater" and I told him how much we enjoyed the show every week and he agreed it was a great way to spend a Friday Night. He sure was right!

  • By far the best theme of all these legendary series. Although I have watched little of Falcon Crest I liked it. It was more simplistic than Dynasty and the fact that was rural made it more romantic and catcy. I also don't watch series anymore. There not gonna be again series like Dynasty, Dallas and Falcon Crest. The new ones are one of the same and are devoid of the originality of the abovementioned. Only by hearing this song memories come by and give that nice nostalgic feeling.

  • Amazing! a big fan, thumbs up!

  • Falcon Crest,Dynasty,Dallas,Hill street blues,Baretta,North and South,Centennial,How the west was won,Love Boat,etc...etc.. etc...

    Much better then todays tv....

  • Das ist auch die Musik von Zuhause im Glück von RTL2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111111

  • falcon crest theme = bedtime!

  • It starts out like the opening to full house

  • The opening theme kicks ass !

  • @expos73 ... especially @0:08 - 0:12 !

  • Friday night was television event night back then....Dallas, followed by Falcon Crest. I was a child during that time, and from 9-11pm you DID NOT bother my parents, except during commercials. If us kids followed that simple rule, we were allowed to stay up until 11pm. For that reason, this show became one of my favorites to watch. And heaven forbid the phone ring at any time during that two hour block! LOL

  • @skywheelrider Yep, I loved Thursday and Friday nights. Magnum PI and Knots Landing, and Dallas and Falcon Crest respectively. :)

I wondered who JR could tick off next. :D

  • The best opening theme music

  • Question to all you Falcon Crest watchers........I never watched this how. I did watch Dallas, Dynasty and Knots Landing. How did this show compare to those? Was it as good? I'm thinking about getting the dvd's from someone of all seasons.

  • @mark40511 - Falcon Crest had very over the top acting, amazing locales, and the grand-bitch Angela Channing that could rip you to shreds in the wink of an eye. It also had the mystique of a wine dynasty in the families in the valley-Agrettis and Giobertis.

But the last two years are what sank this one-much like "Dallas"-the attention was on too many different people instead of 10 main characters. The storylines failed as a result, sadly.

  • Ok, hit pause on this theme. Now restart it with your eyes closed. Listen to the theme again. You KNEW you had a show of epic proportions coming up with theme music like this! Wow, I wish I could go to sleep with this playing on tv like I used to when my parents watched shows like this at night.

  • Dukes of Hazard + Dallas + Falcon Crest = A Great Friday Night of TV thumbs up if you agree.

  • @sxwrulz Yep! Imagine that, FRIDAY NIGHT! Now whatever is put on Friday night is just filler for the most part. It's just another night on television. Of course, back then you did not have over 300 channels to choose from, either.

  • I was totally in love with Ana Alicia!

  • Why is this great serie never appeard in the English language?

  • Kayleigh i so know what you mean it's great to be able to reminise on here isn't it

  • nothing beats rushing home to watch your favorite TV shows.. I miss those days.. I used to enjoy watching TV back then..

  • Nothing can touch the 80's.

  • Definitely one of the best 80´s TV Themes..

Thanx and Greetings from Cologne, Germany ! Season 1 and 2 available in german on dvd.

  • Those days where really worth watching television, all you got now is reality shows that are only good enough to satisfy a chimpansee if you could just get him to sit still in the sofa.

  • @Cuenca20 your spelling there was interesting and funny given the content of what you said. no offense.

  • @airbrushedhottie mi este venito de mexico ese, i think my english is good enough, on the other hand the content of my post is true if you are over 30 yrs old. If you are like 20 then can not know. You can YT it but it is not the same imo

  • i love this music, brigns me to the 80s and is so strong the rithym, kisses from Barcelona, Spain

  • The beginning of the song reminds me of Independence day soundtrack End title.

  • illuminati.

  • dvd box-finland txt ??

  • this theme is shit

  • @medicpack6 AWWW GET A LIFE BUDDY!

  • That bird at the end used to scare the living piss outta me when I was a kid!

  • What's become of Abby Dalton? She played her part to the hilt on this show, and was a game show fixture. Don't see or hear much of her these days...

  • Why did we have to have all this rubbish from the US forced on us in the 80's

  • @TheWolfie6

Because it's better than most of the junk today.

  • One of the most beautiful, electrifying themes in the history of television. A triumph by Bill Conti. Sadly, full length themes are a relic of the past, as such time now is taken up by yet more commercials. If a series even has recognizable theme now it is only seconds long to make room for even more advertising. I'm old enough to remember when there was quality television instead of the commercial whoring of today.

  • @Nemesis7293 Some of my favorite tv series intros from the 80s include Masada and North and South.

  • @Nemesis7293 ... yes... such as the show New Christine... some woman cooing "ooooo, ya-a, ya-a, ya." and that's it, the theme... LOL.

  • @Nemesis7293 Here Here!! If only the rest of the world thought as you we could still have actual EPIC(the correct meaning not the watered down one everyone uses now)TV show and not the bland recycled dis interesting High School drama class shows on now.

  • @Vinconex Thanks so much for your comment! I'm so glad to know that others feel the way I do. Television has changed irrevocably, and for the worse, and will never occupy the station that it did before. Certain TV shows used to class personified. Now, class is dead, sadly.

  • @Nemesis7293 Quality television? You're dim, N. This era of television was entirely episodic or else a directionless soap opera. Tropes on top of tropes -- and catering to the lowest common denominator. That's why film still mattered.

We have great TV now. Plot arcs, surprises, real character development.

  • @Bobby3OOO "We have great TV now. Plot arcs, surprises, real character development. " Wow, really? In an environment of 90% "reality television" you're able to find all that??? Please...PLEASE..cite some examples of this wondrous surge in television quality! I'd love to know what it is that you're advocating so strenuously because even finding "scripted" TV now is an achievement. Finding QUALITY scripted TV is an epic quest. I'll continue to be "dim", thanks. And this theme still fucking rocks!

  • @Nemesis7293

Compare Burn Notice to the A-Team. Compare the new Battlestar Galactica to Star Trek TNG. Compare LOST to ... um... Fantasy Island. Compare Law and Order: Criminal Intent to Law and Order season one. Compare the Sopranos and Breaking Bad to crime dramas of their day. Sure -- you had MASH back in the day, and a few truly memorable and outstanding programs that redefined their genres, like Cheers and such... but could Mad Men been made in the 1980s? Farscape?

  • Mybluebelly: air wolf and knight rider

  • People, i think this one takes the cake. Or do you have any better???

  • 0:32 Chase Gioberti about to unleash the fury

  • This was a great score!

  • I can remember back when I was four till the show went off the air....my mom letting me stay up to watch this on Friday nights, and Dallas. Then on Thursday nights it was Knots Landing.

I think I was the only boy that watched these shows when I was little.

    I'm so weird.

  • Oleeeeeeeeeee que bonitaaaa jajajajajajaa

    albertito teamo jaja

  • oh thks for uploading this, i remember when i just to watched this many years ago at home , great memories!

  • Did you know that this show was originally called "The Vintage Years?"

  • i think that the intros in the series showed a little respect for the audience... they wanted to give us quality.. now everything is about time and commercials.

  • @Camiloo21986 A good intro back then could make or break a series as a good one captured your imagination and made you want to watch it each week.

All my favourite TV from the 80s and 90s all have really great intros which if you weren't in the room when they started, made you quickly finish what was keepig you aay from the TV as soon as you heard the music start.

  • one of the best 80s theme tunes, i reckon, if not THE best!

  • one of the best 80s theme tunes, i reckon, if not THE best!

  • one of the best 80s theme tunes, i reckon, if not THE best!

  • The Best opening credits ever...

  • @5stringofFernandoSor, Agreed!! What happened to opening themes?? More car, lawyer and political ads..ick!!

  • Such a magnificent music score

  • That Abby Dalton lady Looks really pretty.

  • This opening song was brilliantly mastered. Wonderful and so powerful!

  • Ah, Angela Channing and JR Ewing... how much could they tick off other people? :D

Dallas and Falcon Crest made for some exciting Friday evenings. :)

  • The Spring Mountain Winery used for the series is located in the Napa Valley area and is very beautiful in person. As is the Filoli Mansion in South San Francisco used as the Carrington home in Dynasty. And don't forget Crystalaire Place in Granada Hills, Ca 91344 as the ever famous Knots Landing Cul-De-Sac and 3700 Hogge Drive, Parker, TX 75002 (Southfork Ranch) used in Dallas.

  • In Rancho Mirage, California.

  • y en a eu des conneries ricaines à la TV Française!

    trop marrant!

  • FALCON PUNCH!

  • Graet Music by Maestro Bill Conti (as in Rocky, Cagney & Lacey, Dynasty, North and South, and many others). What a Genius !!

  • holy shit I totally forgot about this show. Jane Wyman....wasn't she the cunt mother who betrayed her own son in the original "V" tv series.

  • @SUPREMEQUEEN09 No, that actress was Neva Patterson, playing Eleanor Dupre, mothe rof Mike Donovan. Great performances from both actresses though.

  • @LaserBadler really! wow, I would have lost that bet. Thanks.

  • @SUPREMEQUEEN09 , no that actress was Neva Patterson, and she was good in that role, too, ha ha.

  • @memoir4you yeah I know now. LaserBadler set me straight 2 days ago. But thanks any how.

  • Such amazing title-melody !

  • I Believe This Is "Falcon Crest" Video Open From December 4, 1981.

  • i know i miss great theme songs and this one was superb. Abby Dalton was great and she had one of the best storylines in soap history

  • einfach genial

  • I never like Lorenzo Lamas at all, as we Caribbean people like to say, he used to fret meh

  • @dbastard1977 He looked good though while he was doin it though! LOL

  • Where is this mansion located?

  • I remember this one too, used to watch it! Think it was on after "Dallas"!

  • estas colgado jajaja

  • I loved this show....my grandmother and I would stay up late and watch this, just the two of us....those were good times! :o)

  • @mothersfreakout very nice said.....sigh! I loved it too. watched it with my cousin wearing our mamas high heels as little girls!

  • Lorenzo Lamas, The Latin-Lover :-)

  • I grew up in the 80's and shows like this were fantastic! Dallas, Dynasty etc., the theme tunes were awesome and far more memorable than the theme tunes to any of today's shows! This one was so unnecessarily high pitched and dramatic - it was great :) Made you feel you had to watch it! Something really exciting was gonna happen :)

  • xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
