I watched the video but I still have a question Are projectors better for gaming and watching standard TV? I have doubts about the image quality but after watching this, it looked like a full blown 1080p TV, maybe even better quality than an actual tv.
@aala12 the quality is considerably lower than a full hd TV. If you're looking for a projector that offers image quality close or equal to a full hd tv you have to buy a full hd projector with a high luminosity lamp. In short, you have to buy the most expensive ones. Don't delude yourself, this is a cheap projector, it won't offer you top quality.
Does it project only videos and photos ? If my iphone is jailbroken and I have the necessary software for displaying the iPhone to TV, will the projector project everything in my iPhone including apps ?
@theshiningeagle I think Microvision is about to introduce a new projector that is 50% brighter than the original ShowWX, hopefully in time for the holidays! It may have a new name, something like "i-connect".
So, is "bulb life" any problem with laser projectors? I'm not saying they have bulbs, but does whatever makes the laser have an estimated lifetime? Or is it just "lots"?
Sh-sh-sh... Here is a coupon code to get VGA Dock for free when you buy SHOWWX at the Microvision site (otherwise it's $50!): MVISREF1229. Valid until 9/30/2010
@mime454 I believe you are referring to the dark scanning lines? If so, those flickering lines don't exist in real life. They are due to the video camera and projector being out of sync with each other.

@soundkite any hopes for a 120Hz one :D (the scan lines are because of the refresh)

Is that flickering actually seen by the eye or is it an illusion of the camera?
