Just out of curiousity - could you use this to "detune" your guitar as the tracking is so well done? use only the detune function on it to effect the dry signal to detune a guitar mid performance for a little bit, then deactivate it to return to save swapping guitars midway if you do not have a second guitar player? Could this be theoretically done??? has anyone tried? it would be a cool experiment
Go by the size of the on/off button as I presuem thats a standard size on all EH stuff - looks about the width of 4 boss pedals to me & depth wise about 1 & a half boss.
the input controls overall volume, dry is for the volume of clean guitar coming through, and the filter is similar to a wah filter in terms of threshold, but there are 3 different filters, great pedal, lots of octave and harmonic tones
The current guitarist in Herbie Hancock's quartet uses one of these live. He used it to get the "organ guitar" sound when playing Chameleon recently. I've been wanting one for bass for a while, but it's too damn expensive!
I have a peavey 700 tour series bass head that has a built in octaver. You should check them out. I think they are like...600 dollars msrp. I got mine for 300 : ]. Endorsements ftw!
I played this at the shop, it sounds sweet on bass too, but it was pricey!!! around three hundred, still thinking about it...theres a mini POG too thats 199....but doesnt have as much capabilities
High wankery stuff ... REALLY ANNOYING !!! Try shifting it down for a chance so that it doesn't like a 4 year old screaming and someone scratching a chalkboard (Bill Cosby like over exaggeration sorry) But seriously though, also can you use this to do like detuning though.

Buttons don't stay at middle position to have different sound!
He plays with harmonic's volume, but no different harmonic...
He didn't need to buy a POG to do that

This pedal is awesome - could play some Deep Purple keyboard solos on guitar and almost fool people. Gotta have one :D

Is this pedal the same size as a deluxe memory man or polychorus?
ilovemyfender1 2 years ago
i think they are the same size but this is a old model, there is now a POG2 with more options and it is in a smaller box
BigNoseMusic 2 years ago
I know about the POG2 but IMO this one sounds better. I like it's grit.

I have a pedal that's the same size (deluxe memory man) and it's the size of a line 6 dl4 or a pigtronix echolution ormothership.
ilovemyfender1 2 years ago
yeah ehx pedals are big as hell but IMO they're also a shitload better...
micp4130 2 years ago
yeah... the POG 2 is smaller tho... and there's also the micro pog...
micp4130 2 years ago

Whats the input, dry input, and filter switches for?
SRVisthebest 2 years ago
the dry switches are usualy for how much of the origanl signal you want to effect/keep the same
filters will be like an EQ
sammo5252 2 years ago
the filter makes it a bit more synth-y

That's probably much more expensive than the POG anyway. I know that several Ashdown amps have built-in octave settings.
