I could have a power amplifier of 10Kw that is capable of 100 dBSPL, I could also have a power amplifier of 1Kw that is capable of 106 dBSPL.

You talk about x amount of watts, this could mean anything. explaining how loud this system is in dBSPL is a much more appropriate way of gauging how much it is capable of.

(6dBSPL is a doubling of sound pressure)
