dont buy this truck it is crappy. Dosent come with battery or charger. And i have gone through 2 of these trucks. The first one i had it was the second day i had it and the rear camber linkage rod popped out of place and the dogbone axle thing popped out. Then i took it back to the hobby shop and they gave me a new one. Then a week later im on a 9 and a half inch jump (exact i measured it :) ) and the same thing happens. SO DONT GET THIS TRUCK!
@SpaRTan24774 well how hot 140 or wat how hot is it normal temp should be 130-140 if you dont know buy a proper temonater and buy and fan after you know the average temp
I just got mine a few days ago and i was wondering how fast it could go stock with a 3000mah battery. There is too much snow outside to test it out and i dont have a speedometer
i just bought this rc today, the blue rtr kit. i will say this is one of the better trucks ive owned, but its the first rc ive ever boughten new. i also have a evader bx buggy, and acouple other rcs. this truck witha onyx 1800 duratrax battery does wonders, and is quick. i think i only oaid 100 for the truck and 12 for the battery, definetely a good truck to use if you want a cheap but good truck, polus the cheap price means more money to use for upgrades!
@chenainai100 That works fine for bashing in an open field where you can just watch what's on the camera, but on the track you have to focus on your vehicle and your driving. There's also no comfortable & sustainable position I can figure out to mount a nearly 1kg weight (camera) to a transmitter to drive and film for hours at a time.
I've always been curious to see what kind of lap times a truck like this would turn against a dedicated racer with the same motor, batteries, and tires.
@np151 Yeah, driver = cameraman = me. Takes a lottttt of practice to be decent at keeping the vehicle in frame and mostly centered without a super-wide zoom. Definitely takes the driving precision down a notch though.
@UltimateRCnetwork, respect for that. I've tried it and it's hard, especially on a track. Free tip: Buy / make a filming helmet. You just attach the camera to the helmet and you can focus on driving. This also takes some practice, but once you get the hang of it it's better than 1 handed drive/filming.
@CardNox I've actually tried that, but with a 2-pound camera, filming for a couple hours gets tough on the neck (plus the straps have to be *tiiiight*). You also need to pair it with a sight since half the visual tracking we humans do is with our eyeballs, not our heads. Dorkier-looking and more tiring than I can withstand, and also doesn't allow for lower shots :(
@UltimateRCnetwork, yeah with a 2-pound camera it can get ''uncomfortable'', but with a HD Hero Pro or similar it's very feasible. Yyou would need to ''learn'' to move your head to track the car, very true and tough in the beginning. The HD Pro has no zoom so no close up shots like you have now though. Oh well, you can't beat a GOOD dedicated cameraman ;)
1st coment :) lol nyway hey jang i seen the review u made and im a nitro guy but may start electric.. this truggy looks like a cheap way to get into it... where abouts can i pick one up and for how much? thanks :)
@TraxxasNoobie If you saw the review video then you heard me mention the $119 price tag a few times already ;) I usually buy Duratrax stuff from TowerHobbies, but you can find their products at lots of online retailers. Just do a Google shopping search and you'll get a bunch of options.

@UltimateRCnetwork I bolted a tripod mount onto the bill of a hat, works well with lighter cameras.
