  • That is some great tone! Some of that sounded like Aerodynamic by Daft Punk.

  • hehe...thanx guys...

  • Nice!

  • Auto wah? I love this amp. If I didnt already have a DSL100 I would buy the Stilleto. Instead I will look into a dual rec.

  • Actually is mxr handwired limited edition phase90.

You are right, stilleto is very close to marshall/british crunch so if you want something different go for the rectifier or mark V, it just came out...

  • They are actually quite contrasting amps them Stilettos and Rectos. I suggest you try both out first...

  • I am getting a Road King II in January. The Stilletto is a Marshall on serious steroids I havent tried one personally, I have played through a Road King II before and it is uncomparable to almost any other amp made today.

Now what kind of guitar to get...........

  • i didn't know that this amp was capable of that much without a pedal, i definitely have to buy one now

  • hey Mate sounds great im looking at one of there or a Duel Rectifier or a Orange Rockerverb 100 to go with my Orange PPC412 cab can you help me out please.

  • Well, they are all cool amps.

It's your call man, you should know that Stiletto as good as it sounds is not a traditional Mesa sound, it's closer to Marshall, so if you want the famous Mesa sound you should buy the Rectifier

  • thanks alot but do they still have a heap of gain like the Duel Rec

  • They have enough gain for most situations not as much as the Rectifier tho. You might need a boost pedal for solos n' stuff...

  • @Dirtyfingerzzz

there is plenty of gain for metal

if you need more depth and less sizzle, then get a Dual Rec

  • dual rec and rockerverb are two totally different amps,

dual rec has loads of prescence and cut through high mids i spose you could call it

the orange is a good amp, i would recogmend if you play really muddy nu-metal with alot less presence, def doesnt cut through as well.

just kinda hangs in the mix if you play with a band

  • i like the stilleto ace thats what i got and it fuckin rocks

  • Yeah! That's the spirit dude!

Most of the known tube amps sound good.

It's all in the fingers anyway...

    Rock on!!!

  • number 1: i wish i was as good as you. number 2: i hate my triple rec. number 3: which stiletto should i get, deuce or trident? number 4: how much do the deuces and tridents run and number 5: how much did yours cost?

  • Nr.1: Thanx a lot

Nr.2: Don't hate it man, adjust yourself to it. Most of the amps sound good in their own way.

Nr.3: You should get Stiletto Deuce

Nr.4: That's hard to say how much they cost in the US, i live in Danmark.

Nr.5: I work in a music shop so I get things cheaper.

    Nr.6: ROCK ON DUDE!!!

  • haha thanks man. I mean I can't say I hate it because it's good for the band I'm in now. It's like a Rock/ Alternative, Pop punk. But I hate it for the type of music I bought it for which is like modern heavy.

But why the Deuce instead of the Trident? and does the stage 2 really matter? or could I buy the original thats not stage 2 and still be the same. or atleast to close to call.

  • The Trident is to loud, most of the time you don't need so much power. I would recommend stage 2, they revoiced the drive, it's better in my opinion. Stage 1 is still a cool amp.

  • If I get the Stage 1 would it be a big difference? I'm just asking because there isnt any Stage 2 sellers where I live.

  • There is no big difference...get the stage 1

  • you should rename this video to "insane noodling on mesa boogie stiletto" XD great sound!

  • LOL..hehe..yeah!

    Thanx for the comment.

    Rock On!

  • Dude, that sounds wicked! Can you tell me how you are getting that speed and what riffs/scale patterns you are using!!!???? I am lookin at getting the same head - wht cab have you got on there? are the standard cabs Stiletto cabs any good?

  • Thanx man!

The speed comes from practicing, you gotta start slowly and gradually increase the speed.

I used sweep and economy picking a lot in the vid.The patterns are very common pentatonic stuff.

Stiletto standard cabs are very nice and very well built.

  • Wow thanks for making me want to get rid of my Road King II now.

  • Hehe...yeah man, by the fucking Stiletto.

If you can crank it sounds way better. I coudn't do it in this vid coz the neighbours.

    ROCK ON!!!

  • Victor, you need to do a clip with the Rocket Fuel. =:) Nice playing by the way!

  • I will,I promise...and thank you

  • sure man

  • I saw your link on the Doug Aldrich forum and thought I'd check it out. I'm Mad rocker over there.

  • cool man..Doug is amazing. Thanx for checking out, keep in touch

  • well played, cool sounding amp also. ;)
