in japan the game is called Famicom Wars DS Ushinawareta Hikari(The Lost Light)

a few of the japanese names are in eur version but mostly are different

Then don't play campaign and play war room without tag powers(the game is still easy even with out them especially with skills). Sorry for responding to an old comment. DS had lots and lots of unlock ables that keep me playing to this day.Days of ruin not so much. Plus I like the colors and art style of DS better.

does not make much of a diference since same thing what i was using in dual strike--btw no1 cares. i or 2missions are that diffiecult 22~25.only missions that involve you having a very small units against large number of pow between ground, air, and/or naval support. any combonation invloving 2 or more fields. have ANY weakness in those fields, you will either be blown to tim-buck-two (by tanks and rockets), bombed (bombers), shelled (battleships)

@Zookerman1232 Dude, this game is awesome. It's pretty much an improvement over every aspect of Advance Wars. The COs and Units aren't as broken as AW2 (I never played Dual Strike but I've heard stories) and the new (and reworked) units add more depth to the game. My only real issue is the boss character. He's cheap. Where as Sturm just needs an unfair set up (Ie lots of cities and stuff) to be powerful, the villain here is cheap no matter where he's played.

Don't let that stop you though.

Will's my favorite main character from the advance wars series (although Dual strike's Jake had very good music, just a terribly annoying personality). Not my favorite character mind you, but he's written well and behaves more or less like a real person.
