  • omg it never stops :P

  • Did you get the consist?

  • 236 cars on just two locomotives. Damn!

  • it would of been good if you turned off the car i would rather sleep

  • more of australia off to the chinesies !!!!

  • Crikey that's a bloody awesome video mate, thanks for sharing.

  • Please. take a look "Longest train officially in the world" in youtube. I don't see anything like that in my whole life!! I really fancy all that smells Australia. Australia is different!!! Spanish

  • These Australian locomotives are very nice, there horns are nice too.

  • @LocalRailfan the locos are imported from the states complete... they're GEs.

  • I don't think this is the longest train in the world. Every coal wagons are around 36/37 feet time 226 cars equal to around 1.6 miles. But, most of American trains have 1.8 upto 2.1 miles in average !!

  • You mean some American trains, not most . The longest trains are quite near to where this was seen. BHP run 336 cars on a lot of their empty runs back to the mines.

  • @tonylou There have been many iron ore trains on this line where they have up to 6 locomotives; 3 in the front, several through the train and one at the rear. They operate via telemetry, and one of these fully loaded is enough for one cargo ship. Some have been known to go on for a bit longer than 2.1 miles that's for sure

  • fuck probably it is

two engines and two hundred fuckin thirty four carriages !!!!!

  • the aussie iron ore trains are the longest in the world

  • it start breaking in Brisbane and stops in Sydney ;)

  • @szymaq BRAKING

  • u can tell it's picking up speed as the film progresses cz the sound made by the wheels gets higher pitch. i just wrote a melody by clicking on different bits of the play bar thing. my new toy.

  • Dash-9's down under.

  • Great!!

  • one thing i've noticed about australian railroads--they don't sound the horn very much at crossings.

  • dont need to theres no one ever at them.

  • with this train, you'd have been a hood ornament by the time he sounded the horn!

  • @shekkythebastard They do, but it's about half a mile back from when the locomotive actually crosses the road

  • looks like csx g40 locos nice lookin locomotives

  • no the arent they are GE locos by the cab design and most likely the AC6000CW or if the RR is being more GREEN the newer ESU4400 evo series

  • 226 Cars and Only 2 diesel locomotives. this locos must have more than 6000 Horsepower!!!!!!!!!! Awesome video.

  • short small light cars

  • They weigh around 130 tons loaded.

Locos are C44-9W with 4400hp. Most of the run is downhill for loaded trains so 2 locos are enough

  • Piouuuuuuuuuu!!!!

  • ??????,
